What: FanDuel

Basically a fantasy NFL, NBA, CBB, MLB website for $$$. It works EXACTLY like your ESPN/Yahoo fantasy leagues except you pick players for every timeslot and you compete with other picks for money. Plus its all legal.

Each player has a certain price tag to him and you have a cap. So thats where it gets tough.

Where: http://www.fanduel.com/?invitedby=soledout91&cnl=da

Why: If you think you're good in fantasy sports and want to make some money every week (NFL) or every day (NBA/MLB) this place is for you. I've been on this site for half a year now (NBA playoffs/start of NFL season) and i've won some good $. Plus you can use paypal which is a plus.

Actually surprised no one on NT mentioned it yet....

Nothing but good reviews from my friends who I put on. If you know your ****, you'll win $$ EASY. Like i said i'm still surprised no one on NT mentioned it yet.

Atleast try it for 1 week, cant hurt you that bad.

bump

Friend and I just split $1000 from winning just from last night (different account). I'm telling you guys this is easy money if you know your sports.

At first when I started I was on fire lol, then i lost about half of it. Now a friend and I just share an account and we're slowly on the come up.

nice, i did the same i had a week of all Ws. i usually do head to head or 50/50. my friend who told me about this came up big one day.

I hear Ross Tucker plug this site on his podcast. Might read up on it some more and give it a shot next week.

A couple questions though...

Am I thrown into a pool of other players and if I come out on top I win?
OP or anybody else that has played on the site, how long did it take you to win?

-The site works by larger contests, or even h2h entries. I tend to go h2h just because I feel more comfortable knowing if I put out a stud lineup, my odds are clearly 50/50 on winning as opposed to versing a ton of other people in one large contest.
-What do you mean by how long does it take? I played Week 1 of this season for the first time, and lost. Week 2, I won, and my winning money was accounted for in my FanDuel balance that Monday night/Tuesday morning (no later). From there, I transferred it to my PayPal account and it was accredited there the same/next day (no later).

Running with this lineup tonight. Might make some changes, not sure yet. What you guys think?

700

I won 80% of my money from the NFL. So much easier imo. The NBA gives you more chances to win (and lose  ) since there are games everyday.

yep i completely changed my lineup. i wanna wait on to see whose confirmed as starters for the magic before tipoff. check edit.

I don't understand the salary cap stuff.

Can you pay with paypal?

Yes you can pay with paypal.

Each player is worth a certain amount of $$. You have a certain amount of money to spend. Example....

I have $100 to fill 5 slots. You can choose lebron at $70, and 4 scrubs for the rest $30. Or you can evenly distribute it among 5 mediocre players. Up to you.

It basically like making a new fantasy team everyday. You can join a free one just to see how it works.

Gonna set my lineups for my NFL games this week. I'll edit once I have em done :pimp:.

Here they are:

65k Salary Cap, 10 person league
700

60k Salary Cap, 8900 person tourney
700

55k Salary Cap, 10 person league
700

Thoughts:
I stuck with my semi-cheap QB, cheap TE, Kicker and D/ST strategy which allows me to fill up the rest of my lineup with mostly stud RBs/WRs.

I have no idea why Eddie Lacy is only $6800. I got him in both the 60k and 55k cap leagues where I had a little less wiggle room to grab 2 stud RBs. I highly recommend grabbing him if you're strapped for cash. I'd even grab him if u just wanna save money to fill out your WR core.

Andre Johnson also has nice value at $6900 in my opinion. The Texans are probably going to be down for most of the game, and with Foster/Tate injured anyway, I expect them to heavily rely on the passing game. Keenum doesn't scare me at all, I think Johnson still eats.

Keenan Allen is an absolute bargain and almost a must-buy at $6000 imo. The top target on his team going up against possibly the worst pass D in the league makes for some big points.

There's no bigger bargain than Jordan Reed at $5600 though . Just put him on your team.

Anyone have any opinions?
