One question though..How did you guys figure out what your elf wanted?..I remember last years thread and it seemed like everyone got something they either really wanted or could really use..

Just sent a PM.

Hope I'm good. Some know me, some don't.

You fill out a questionnaire and sort of hint as to what you like and provide a little info about yourself. Then its emailed to your SS and hopefully they can figure out what you are into.

my gift to my elf last year was the only gift i bought for someone that year  ...not anybody in my family.... but to some random NTer :D

one suggestion and i know it'll get overlooked anyway,.....we need to make it more interesting and stop people from just sayin "i like this and that, so and so.... I just want a DVD box set"....we gotta make it fun....my elf last year made me go by his interests, so i had to think of what to get...thankfully he loved it.

side note i'm still using one of the gifts i received 2 or 3 years ago (San Jose Sharks car mat :pimp:)

I'm in. But i have to get my old s/n back. I lost it in the yuku move.

I say we definitely limit those who have joined recently (before september now that this thread's up so that people don't start making up SNs and running up their post counts to weasel their way in).

We send cinco our addresses and names and a questionnaire(things we like)
Cinco is the only person who has this info.
He then emails or PMs us another users name, address, and there questionnaire
We then send the gift, package via FedEx, ups...
this way everybody can participate. Even those with low post counts, or those who lost their name in the yuku move. If you flake your address and your name will be put on blast.

Make it so people who have done it the last few years get people who have it done, and newer people get newer people?

I honestly wouldn't care if I got a deadbeat. It's the season of giving and making someone else happy is what matters.

I didn't get my gift from my SS last year until a week into January, and although it would've sucked not getting anything, I don't think I would've been too bummed.

My elf liked what he got and that was enough for me.
Truth. I had a ton of fun shopping for my elf last year.  I know he enjoyed the gifts, so that was enough for me.

I did appreciate the gift I received from my Santa, though.

I don't think the post count should play too big a factor..I've been on here for 6 years and just now getting up to 3k posts..Some of us just don't feel like commenting on every single thread on NT or feel it's stupid to use emoticons for 75% of our posts..Maybe it could be over 1 year on NT and show a consistent posting history..

Shhh, no dry snitching bro. :smokin
My bad. The snitching was removed.

Love the hoody, bro. About to wear it right now as I go for a run. It still isn't hoody weather in Texas :frown: but I still like to use it to help me sweat more.
Always getting asked about the team though lol I just tell them I got friends in far places :smokin

Maybe rep points can be factored in too since it's been implemented that way those with less than X amount of posts and join date has that to back them up. Just a thought.

Says the guy named thaPOINTguy that has over 70 points..

I think separating this into two categories would be best...

Those who have done it before and been good Santa's.

And those who haven't done it before, get the same kind of people.
