Walking around my local thrift store for any cool older brands and stumble upon these 20190702_175709.jpg
I remember I used to want these so badly! I remember seeing Fat Joe 1st with the white ones and one of my lil homies he was a freshman at the time had the black pair. I never got a chance to own Spiz'ikes but now I see how wack they are since I own the Jordan's these take from :rofl:

That's how I collected grails early on I would buy beat kicks. 85' b/reds. 94' b/red & chi. 01' royal & b/red. I got them for dirt cheap due to being used lol now one would be hard pressed to find decent conditioned 85's for what I got em for at the time. I got no issue with used kicks, for the Spiz'ikes in particular though all i see is the midsole I could use for swapping purposes and customization practice.

It depends really lol one time I got Jedi dunks for 30 bucks. They weren't even in bad condition but worn. Dunks were just not the "in-shoe" at the moment so I was the only bidder, fully legit too because the seller was too ready to send me pics of everything to legit check.

I never liked this color. While I'd ALWAYS take an actual OG/retro over the mashup, it's definitely a little bit of hindsight to call these wack. Sure they weren't loved, or even liked, by all, and definitely not liked or loved to the level of OGs, but certain colorways were hyped when they originally dropped in 2006 and 2007. The only pair I ever liked was the White Cement based pair that dropped on Black Friday 2007 (I bought the pair then), and I remember the hype around it and a couple of the other pairs. I personally don't see myself ever wearing my pair again (mine are still in great condition, but I keep them for nostalgia sake) as I have both WC 3s and 4s (and my tastes/preferences have changed), but I'm not gonna act as if they weren't ever fresh to me.
 
-1 for me. u guys r right they didn’t come with blue laces. I used my baby blue laces from my Carolina 1s, then switched em back and threw em in Spider-Man box

The white version spikes > the black. I wanted those and the white cement spiz'ikes in particular. But these are up there for me like dub-zeros. I wanted them when I was a kid but now I dont care for them.

If I want to have the Pan-African flag colors on my kicks it's all about those A Tribe Called Quest 1 straps or BHM flyknit.

I lucked up in the BIGGEST way when I got both my '01 Blk/Reds and Royals. Brand new/DS, but dude I knew needed to get rid of them and a bunch of other pairs. I got both for less than $400 total. Only thing I regret was not also jumping on his DS pair of Stussy SBs (he was also getting rid of for crazy low) fast enough before he sold them to someone else. Wasn't meant to be clearly.

Stussy's!? Ugh it's hard being a bigger size looking for those grails. Not only are they crazy expensive but pairs are far in between. I wore my ostrich's into the ground. Dunk SB's were definitely what drew me into sneaker culture deeper than any other sneaker.

The Dubzeros never did it for me.

As for Pan-African colored kicks, McRad SB Highs > EVERYTHING ELSE IMO.
