so can an eastbay rep on here comment? are all backordered orders getting cancelled?   if i knew that i would of tried to cop elsewhere instead of being content w/a pair i thought i had.  and yea $10 gc.. thanks for almost covering the tax on my next pair! lol

The shipment was not yet received, and after reviewing the product inventory there has not been any orders canceled because of this. If an order was canceled it had to be due to another reason. The quality on these new releases is far from premium, I just did a quick comparison and the Dave white 1s are far superior quality shoes. Even the DW box is superior! I dont think these are worth the price (€140 in europe before nike dropped it to €120

) so im thinking of sending a pair back, the main reason being Nike send me the wrong size....
I loved the dave white so much I bought another pair for a decent price.

You guys at Eastbay need to get your stories straight, Ive gotten 4 different explanations as to why I havent gotten my order. Youre costing people time and money.. and all you can do is offer a $10 gift card.. what are we suppose to do with that? order more shoes that would get canceled?? I should have known better not to mess with you guys, every time I order for Eastbay theres always something that gets messed up.
 
Just spoke to an Eastbay rep and got my shipping upgraded and fee waived said they are still waiting on the shipment once it's received they will ship them out I'm getting impatient but still have hope. Every time I've spoke to them they've been prompt and consistent on there info

These are mass produced shoes, not every single one will come out perfect.

Stop whining or stop buying Jordan's, take your pick.
This. All day. Not every pair will be the same. Heck, no two pair will be the same. However, you always have the option of not buying it in the first place which takes the risk of things like this happening, or you can always return it. No one is obligated to buy Jordan brand shoes, or any shoes of any brand for that matter.

But we do it because we choose to, and because of that we must also accept the small side of bads with the greater side of goods.

I really don't envy the position the Eastbay reps are in. They're relaying the official company, which could clearly be translated into "we don't know wtf is up" and catching a lot of heat for it.

Although they would never do it, they should cancel everyone's orders, refund all money, and release the shoe once they have their shipment in and know their inventory. Of course, this will never happen, so people end up having funds tied up and no shoes. It's a dirty game.

On an unrelated note, Niketown London still has lots of pairs available. Perhaps they'll ship unsold inventory back to HQ that can be re-distributed to the American market.
 
I guess Eastbay won't answer my question about why they sell shoes they do NOT have on-hand.

We released the shoes on the scheduled release date as we expected to receive the shipment from the manufacturer, but we did not. Due to this, instead of canceling the orders that have already been placed, we put them on back-order until the shipment is received.

But how can you sell something you do not have?

All shipments have tracking numbers, why can't you track them and find out when you're going to have the shipments?
