I know im gettin old but i just dont see why these young guys who havent done crap get exclusive jordan Retros like 1s. There are alot of guys who deserve and have deserved shoes like that and not just kobe or lebron. Melo gets the sweet knicks colored og and all Dominique gets is a laughing stock. Thats a joke.

Melos are underrated imo , if they had a Nike logo instead of the melo logo the resell prices on these would be crazy . People will regret passing on them later when the market drys up.

 
I was surprise when I held them in hand, I love the change up on material.

I'm going to consider that tongue swap with the celtics

That's 1s in general. No hype or nothing added. Heart felt response. The 1st model might be the most sophisticated shoe besides the concord 11. Words can't describe how the 1 brings a outfit together. I can remember this weekend trying to decide between a pair of wheat timbs and some bred 1s. My outfit was a military green jacket and some dark rinsed slim fit jeans with a lumberjack flannel shirt to tie it all in. Breds killed that fit! I guess the lack of the new technology and the basic setup has alot of ppl second guessing. Not to say alot of ppl are in tune what the 1s bring to table. To have a personal pair regardless of cw clarifies things way beyond general comprehensive [emoji]9996[/emoji]

I LOVE the Melo's, but this might be a reach. Lol.

please tell me where. Passed on these multiple times, and now they are 200+

I feel the same way about the Clovers, but almost all of em go for less than $200. For the life of me I can't seem to find a pair for $85-$100 shipped in a sz 9. I missed out when the outlets had them for like $70.

They're underrated on NT, but I'm learning that while NT is a popular sneaker community-the popular opinion isnt always the NT opinion. PLENTY of people NOT on NT love the Melos. This is a shoe that got a blotched release date, and basically little to no hype and still sells out within 48 hours most places. People like them.

It really is, were officially supposed to release, got pulled, supposedly pushed to this year, pop up online, stores received shipment, sell them, then pull them from shelves, pop up at more stores, people double, triple, quadruple up, sell for buku prices, pop up at more stores and keep going, I lowkey like how it was done, kept you in your toes if you wanted a pair

I wish more releases were like this tbh. It eliminated lines, shady raffles, etc. Employees were shady with the info in the beginning but once places started getting restocks employees were helpful in locating pairs. I even used bday coupons on a few pair. I had to get an extra one for the future....and I NEVER EVER EVER double up on a shoe....EVER.

Honestly, it's cheap material on Melo. Cheap plastic with gold color. Suede nubuck as main form. And around ankle it's plastic mesh.  It clearly got hype because store release randomly with no schedule.  

If you want to go into material in specific, Nouveau 1 beats it by long shot.

Nouveau's are one of the best mids IMO. Quality is superb and colorblocking is simple.
