I just want to find a pair of decent priced Banneds, or '94 Breds in a size 12. If instagram is where they're at sign me up

That's what I can't understand...

I picked up a used pair of Banneds for $700 earlier this month, but I need a DS pair now. It's cool to finally have a pair since I've been looking for so long, but I want to be blown away when I open a box of shoes that I paid 7-8 times what they're worth. I'm ok with spending $800 but that's my ceiling on either model.

Believe me I know that just because of how long I've been on my hunt. I just don't understand how they can run that high, and don't tell me it's because of Kanye. I see plenty on the market so I know it's not that they're drying up.

For those that have both the Banneds and the '94s which one would you rather put the money up for? I had the chance to buy a ds pair of '94s last month, but I decided to hold out for the Banneds. Now that I got the Banneds I'm second guessing my decision.

I finally completed my AJ1xSB pack with my purchased black lance mountains on ebay for $250 shipped worn 2x.how did i do?

That was a good deal in my book. I would have tried  to get him down a little more, but what's $20-$30 at the end of the day? A lot of people frown upon buying used shoes, but why pay the premium for DS if you are going to wear them anyway? I've picked up around 4-5 pairs of used kicks and got them all well under retail. Except for the Banneds

 

I'm thinking about copping a used pair of Lebron IIIs in the classifieds, but they're $180. Might still do it since it'll be a little while before we get any retros from Bron.

As far as her being "BAD"...I think that's a stretch. She's tuff but she's not seeing V.Bryant, and I'm sure there's plenty of hoopers with better looking wifes that no one has even heard of.

When did these start options start dictating sneaker culture? Based off your want for a black/pink pair of 1s I can assume your'e a female sneaker enthusiast, but I feel like dudes would line up for a pair of those as well these days. (ie. Infrared 6)

I'd be down with a mid, phat or high on ID as long as they were a premium with OG color blocking available and no mesh or something off the wall like that.

I was making a statement about the state of sneaker "hype" these days. I know what sells and was asking a rhetorical question in regards to when the culture made this transition. I've loved shoes since my first pair of '93 AMs, but I'm not with these new sneaker trends. I could live with a mid cut AJ1 ID, because I had to deal with them at one point when the highs weren't dropping. I won't have a part of a AJ1 ID with a glitter sole or cheetah print.

exactly...Id rather buy used kicks than DS kicks because i end up wearing them. I got these on ebay and asked the seller if he could do a PayPal transaction to have lower price but he wanted to settle on ebay and I said to myself what the heck $250 is a great deal and pulled the trigger.
