I struck out everywhere for the breds too. Same with royals, struck out on them too. Shadows were the only part of the Trinity I was able to get on RD . I refuse to pay resale though, so I'll just wait til they come back around and release again. I'm a little salty still about it, but like someone else said, I have plenty of other shoes.

'13 Shadows are what started it for me with the AJ1s. I wanted the '09s back in like 2011, but couldn't find them until after the '13s dropped. I have some older releases in my collection of AJ1s, but they were all picked up after 2013.

400+ is way too much to pay for any air Jordan, especially one that retailed at 140... But they are usually seen as the most underwhelming of the trinity..

Exactly the cut, height, and padding around the ankle is all better on royals. Considering the quality of leather is the same how could you say shadows are better? Is that assumption made from one liking the color grey over the royal? I don't get the logic

Royals are the one pair from the trinity that I believe is overrated (both as a colorway and based on the "value" people place on em). TBH all Jordan 1s are "overrated" based on the value aspect people place on em. Shadows are the most underrated and undervalued pair of 1s IMO. Underrated in terms of the fact that you can wear them with anything. Undervalued in terms of nobody even wanting them (both 09 and 13 releases) until they struck out on the Breds and wanted a "consolation" prize.

The leather of the black and white 1's is the best out of any 1 i've ever seen. You can tell from the smell alone, let alone the touch.

colorway is better IMO

and shadow quality is on par if not better than royals. they are just clean overall.
