White laces do look cleaner. I prefer the original look though - black laces with the chicago colorway

Got that itch again for 1s. I'm honestly going to just stick strictly to 1s and SBs. My black/red 1s and LMs get worn more than any pair in the collection.

Also helps that this thread is by far one of the most mature, helpful on NT

Really hate to speculate on resell and whatnot but if the black/whites going for $250 steadily right now, chicagos will be much uglier.

I feel like they'll be fairly easy to grab but resellers gonna gobble all tbem up and tax on them for no reason just like every other pair of 1s

Recently picked up a pair of '01 Royals and '94 Breds. Both aren't super beat but I bought them as restore projects. Watched some youtube videos, searched around on NT, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a couple remaining questions.

1. Which Red paint from Angelus matches the red on the breds? Looks like it might be the fire red or the chili red on their website?

2. Angelus seems to only sell "blue" and it looks like that's what they're trying to market as royal blue? Correct me if I'm wrong.

3. If I want a factory finish look I should go for the non-flat black, right?

4. For the swoosh, since both are nubuck, just use some nubuck/suede cleaner and brush it out?

5. There's a part on the outer part of the right Royal shoe where the midsole is coming apart from the upper near where the shoe bends to go into the toe box. Is it possible for me to shoegoo that back together? (I can post pictures later)

1. Personally I use Chili red, they're close enough that unless youre not repainting the whole shoe it'll look real fresh

3. Yeap, though adding 20% duller to the non-flat blacks wont hurt

No idea with nubuck and suede since Ive never worked on those before, but 5 seems like a pretty easy fix using what you said. Are you planning on wearing em?
