Facebook group. Randomly got approved for PayPal credit though finally. So now I'm really not stressing it that much, still paid 150 over what nose of these size 9s are going for.

congrats, There just gonna get more expensive.

FlightClub is a joke as a price guide, and sadly too many people look to them for a price point. Theyre catering to a difference audience and not your everyday sneaker enthusiasts.

Sure rare stuff like OGs, DBs, BINs, etc can fetch for those prices because the market is totally dry. But when you see '13 B/Red 1s going for 1K, it's laughable considering the fact if you hunt you can find em wayyyy cheaper.
Flight Club prevents fakes though, I would be a bit sus about any BREDs < $500

this is the truth. any regular "sneakerhead' could do a little due diligence and find prices way cheaper than FC. FC is not trying to cater to the peeps looking for a deal.

Yup yup

Sometimes it's worth it for peeps to pay a little extra to secure a rare sneaker and have somewhat of a piece of mind when it's comes to being authentic. For example, someone in here barely found a decent deal on Frags 4 months after release. Guarantee you that dude was looking every single day for 4 months straight lol. I can't speak for everyone but time is def money and I would have tossed over that extra $200 or so in a heartbeat to save me the headache.

I wouldn't completely agree with FC prices being a joke....just subtract the 20% commission they take and the prices isn't bad it's just a premium your paying to save the hassle of legit check raffles waiting in lines searching ebay and social network groups etc.

20% is a huge mark up tho...

I think FC overprices their stuff, sure the 20% is a huge mark up but there is no way Bred 1s should cost near $800 or Black Toe 14s should be $300.  FC is meant for people who have excess money to spend on sneakers as mentioned above it also limits the hassle of legit checks and authenticity.

A. Some people is thirsty for anything with a Jumpman on it

B. It had one of the keywords "Retro"

C. Its inspired by something popular "Looney Tunes"

D. Some people are trying to collect the whole "Hare Jordan" Line

E. I like Buttered Toast
I'll take the buttered toast for 900...thanks Alex trebek [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

lol i think that was me. I searched so hard to find a better deal than the 1k size 11 that was sitting at FCNY. With tax is actually almost 1.1k and I would've bitten the bullet and bought that but I thankfully found a legit size 11 for 800. ANd yeah I don't know how many ebay searches, online hawking I did to try to find that relatively ridiculous price lol.

This was me right after the release my ebay inbox looks crazy.

To think I finally got a pair because someone flaked on the seller...

If u subtract the 20 percent look at the prices those are close to the going rates now another u have to consider is the tax and shipping that no one ever thinks of or mentions in FC prices

But overall it's a decent price guide if u sub the 20%

Hi all,
I must preface this by saying long time sporadic poster and reader of this thread.
I'm always in the sb and supreme threads, but I have loved jordan 1s since, well, 85.
Anyway, please bear with me as this post does have a jordan 1 relation, but admittedly, not much of one.
In 2005, one of my twin sons was born with a congenital heart defect. He was operated on within days of birth, then again within months.
He's always been an awesome kid. He started out loving Thomas the train, then wwe, then Star Wars, walking dead, and about 2 years ago, basketball.
We play and play outside. His favorite team? The Bulls. Why? We live in California, so why wouldn't he be a dubs fan? Well, one reason--his twin brother likes the warriors and the two are always at odds. The other is because of the jordan propaganda I poured down his neck so many times. He loves Noah, rose, butler, gasol, dunleavy, etc etc.
But he really loves benny the bull, the mascot.
So anyway, last November, he had to have another surgery, and it was a great success, thanks to the fine doctors at Lucille Packard.
Before his surgery he was asked. You can go anywhere you want after you're healed.
So do you think he chose Hawaii, or Miami, or someplace else where the weather is nice?
Nope. He chose Chicago because he wanted to see a Bulls game.
Ok, his grandma and grandpa said, well do it.
About this time, I posted an instagram photo of him just out of surgery with his stuffed benny the bull on his chest.
Benny reposted it and it got like 3k likes.

This is my post, but benny did repost it.
Anyway, I got an idea, what if benny could come and meet us during the game? It would make my sons day even more.
So, I emailed the Bulls and was routed to barry, the team's entertainment director. He got back to me, and after much stress and negotiating, we made it happen.
Last Wednesday we got to Chicago. We did all the touristy stuff, ate all the fine food, and then last night we got to United center and got to see the Bulls play the Pistons.

And wouldn't you know it, in the late 2nd quarter benny showed up!

I've really got to thank the Bulls organization for all they did. We had a great time.

And as promised, the jordan 1s. Was so proud to have these on at a Bulls game!

As a sidebar:
I'm really jonesing for the Chicagos and the broken backboards.
I also hope to pick up royals finally, nycs and in my dreams, fragments.
I really want to own all the original colorways, both high and low.

Thanks for reading. We just got back and are still in awe of how dope Chicago is.
