The only issue you'll run into is the bottom wearing away

My royals are too slick to wear anymore but my 01 B/Reds have plenty of wear

i think the tongues would be different lengths. You can probably get away with a .5 + or - . If you're using a whole size or 2, you'll see the difference.

Nah, you could get away with an 8 or even a 9. I did a tongue swap on a 14 using a size 14 and the length was even.

I believe sz 8-9.5 use the same tongue and 10-12. Something around that ballpark.
