lol um what else you need to know? every one already said the black/gum leather quality was crap. Besides frags, the lasers had some really good and soft leather. Everything else was trash in quality comparison.Just tell me what I need to know dude

well NYC's are not all leather, so its kind of hard to put them in that all leather category, I probably say they are at BW level

This, from what I've seen and my brief real life encounter with them, they are similar to the Laneys.
Leather is marginally better but the suede is about the same

They weren't what I was expecting but I was happy to cop
Bought knicks on release day but I had to buy a size down cuz no where in my area had a 13, eventually had to sell unfortunately

How does everyone feel about the Black/gum AJ1 high from last year?
They've been my go-to work shoe for the past few weeks now. We have a black/brown/beige code we gotta follow and my ZX Fluxes don't have enough cushion.

Woulda been down if the leather didn't have the weird finish, also woulda preffered a white midsole but I'm not gonna be that picky

Average quality like almost every other Jordan brand release outside of the remastered J's.
You wore them one time too little. The first time I wore them they were stiff and horrible and I regretted my purchase. I guess that was all it took b/c the 2nd & 3rd wears felt like a totally different shoe. They are stiff to break in, but 1-2 all day wears and they're good to go.
I feel exactly the same. People hate on the black gums but I leave mine by the door b/c I wear them for everything. They'll def be my Jordan beaters within the next year. They go with everything and since I broke them in they're more comfortable than almost all my J's besides 13's, Aqua 8's and Laser 1's.
I don't understand why people trip over the shiny material. Mine stopped shining after a few wears anyway. They match everything and are my go to.

i had them as office shoes for a few weeks, good wear after a while. i liked the finish but i think many in the thread want that real leather feel these days which is cool. they're a good shoe for a 1 lover who doesn't want to turn his more prized shoes into beaters

Under rated, great everyday shoe. Would have loved a white midsole but I won't let that affect me liking it still. It's a NA 1 after all, pretty hard for me to hate on that
