That's why folks, maybe not younger guys that are blowing through releases every weekend, are gonna be sore in a few years.

Folks forget that all these shoes (especially those dropping thousands on Air Yeezys 1 & 2 included) have PU midsoles. If you're grabbing II-IX and storing them for years or grabbing multiples, the clock starts ticking the second they leave the factory and sooner or later they crumble.

I'm all about grabbing a pair and wearing them into the ground but you can't beat 1s for their durability and just an all around safe bet.

Did this last year sold all my og 11s set all my 2000-2003 retro Jordan's and only kept my og 1s and picking up mainly n/a 1s only Jordan's I need. Sadly Jordan has pushed me away from models 2-13 with the crap Colors quality and availability.

but XIs dont crumble but IMO when you get over 30 its 1s>all other shoes, they are just so timeless

yeah i hear ya and especally when you see the quality of human being that is rocking retros now makes me want to hang it up so i dont get thrown in with that crowd that matches the entire outfit color for color and looks like a clown and has a bank roll and drives a BMW but has that EBT card chillin in there and lives in section 8 housing, yeah im not a fan of those people living on my dime. end rant

From the age of 15-33 I wore the same size and then my feet grew a whole size. Wiped out years of shoes I accumulated. Some of the stuff I wore a lot I was still able to wear, but stuff that was Ds or rarely worn just ain't fit anymore.

Same here. Wore a 15 for the longest...hit 35 and BAM foot grew a half size. Needless to say a lot of my family and church members got some hot kicks

Kinda sad thinking back...I coulda made a killing off those shoes if I was into ebay back then. Gave a lot of heat away for free.

Now I wear a 16 and it's a blessing and a curse. There is a LOT less selection once you get past a 15; but on the other hand I save a boatload of money on shoes I'd buy if they were made in my size

They don't crumble but they will separate and air units can dry out. 2k concords soles came off on vacation last summer and my 2k SJ air units dry rotted. Neither was worn much until 2013.

I'm 31 now I mostly wear 1's as well, however I still wear all the models as long as they aren't some crazy weird colors. I think the basic 3's and 4's along w/ the oreos / columbias look real nice on feet.

ebay my friend, keep checking until you find them, i was patient and found a wearable pair NDS for 250 shipped, couldnt be happier
