Something came to my head as I spectate this thread and the Chicago thread, looking at all the people who really wanted a pair of Chis and struck out.

I thought to myself, "what if Nike put the AJ Hi OG on Nike ID? It's be a reach, but it'd also be a big deal in the sneaker community since it'd be the first retro to hit NikeID. They could have all the OG colors that have released on NikeID; leaving room for stuff that hasn't had a proper retro with the new mold(i.e. Kentuckys/White-blues, Metallics, new retro+ colorways we have no knowledge of, old retro+ colorways like white-navy-silver, and silver-silver). This way more people would get pairs, it'd drastically cut down on fakes and steep resale, and if they wanted to limit the **** they could at least make it a QS like the Kobe IX Elite MC option, or take the the shoe down and bring it back up. Honestly they could even add certain special options like laser, mesh, and even flight weave and other stuff."

Then I thought about quality and how IDs sometimes have minor issues that quality nitpickers can't overlook. I also thought about how the Jordan 1 has become the most flex heavy jordan and how people lowkey love the "I got something limited you dont" exclusivity of them, even when they miss out(hence the reseller abuse). And lastly I thought about how I have a low post count here and only two pairs of AJ1s(2001 royals & 2001 silver-silver) so my opinion probably wont mean much here. In a perfect world the Id thing would happen though.

And agreed laser customs are dumb as hell
If I ever saw someone with black/red,shadow,frag, etc etc i would just laugh

Now if you are doing your own original coloway then I could appreciate that.

But if people want the struggle laser customs of there unobtainable air Jordan 1 do you I suppose

For the most part I ALWAYS thought customs were wack until I saw a pair of laser 1s in the royal c/w and that completely changed my mind...

The quality on the 2015 laser pair along with the prints and c/w made this a must have for me....

To each his own I guess...

This. Just purchased lasers from JJ for 109. Debating to either do royals and frags. The laser customs I've been seein look clean af imo. It'll give my actual pairs a break lol. Also thought about doin my own colorway, I'd like to leave the swoosh as is but we'll see.

Its almost like Lasers were made to custom and the Laser detail looks great when painted. I like the Frag customs the most prolly since the lightning bolt is meh. If I ultimately fail on Chicagos then a Laser custom might be in my broke boy future, LOL [emoji]128513[/emoji] LOL I'm just not willing to spend the asking price, don't judge me...

Same here. The Laser 1 customs are the first I would ever do for myself. I don't care for customs, but the Laser print is really nice in the OG or Frag colorways. To me, that really IS a special 30th anniversary shoe.

I just may do the same thing.

I still think custom Jordans are whack, but I don't mind the 1s simply because JB has turned them into their version of Dunks.

With the horrible colorwayz JB releases Laser customs are a step up imo. The release map for those V's on saturday is nuts. Why so many of those and hardly any Chicago's. Is anyone REALLY gonna buy those as a consolation? LOL

I have been saying it for a while but it's just a theory. Jb releases og colors in limited quantities for nostalgia to keep the brand alive and keep enthusiast wanting more. Release a ton of wack color ways available everywhere and they still sell out but people still have the thirst of ogs color retros

That's why iasked if anyone who struck out on Chicago's would really cop that crap in its place? The people who like that shoe, like the shoe not because of Chicago. Lasers going on sale everywhere whereas they could have sold out at full price as the Chi-towns. Nike floods the market with wackness but when it comes to 1s people say they don't want to flood the market and cheapen the brand, LOL. Those Vs Saturday wouldn't appeal to me for 49.95

They should put them on QS for Nike id and charge $400/pair (serious). They would STILL sellout and it probably wouldn't kill the hype.

Question, does anyone have that photoshopped picture of the 1's with the Black/Red, Shadow and Royal colorways on one shoe? I think the Red was on the toe, Shadow on the swoosh and Royal on the back tab. Been looking for it all morning and I cannot find it.

^Don't give JB anymore ideas. They're lazy as it is. I love SBs but I thought at first glance they were a fusion of "Chicagos" and Blk/Rds.

i would like the lasers a whole lot more if they didnt have the icy sole. for those of you that have used sole dye, how well does it hold up?
