I hate that idea. I live in an area that gets nothing other than huge GRs, so it's always online or bust. I have a lot of success scoring online for pairs that didn't release anywhere near me, like the Chicago 1s. Without online I'd have no chance. 

Well I agree that the best solution is tomake these GRs but that isn't in Nike's business plan, apparently. I suppose they could continue to have online releases as normal (and let people online get screwed over) until they fix these issues. However, when bots crash their site, it not only makes Nike look bad but they also hurt financially as people who aren't sneakerheads can't shop there either... Very rarely does a b&m retail store ever have to close its doors during a big release.

Nike should just send the pairs they're sitting on to outlets.

My money is on this happening... Nike uses old stock to lure people into outlets and it works very well.

still surprised nike hasnt said anything about the Chi's and has continued to cancel every jordan drop. Interested to see what they do this weekend with the cigar and champagne 7's & the what the kd. Lot of hyped stuff this saturday, wonder if they will go through and come up with a different system.

Yeah it's gotten to the point that I don't even wonder IF the NDC drop will be cancelled but when will they send out the tweet...Adidas rolled out its updated app which has a number request confirmation which gets you a text with an access code (good for 5 minutes), wonder if this is something employed to thwart bots/ATC/PMs and something Nike might start doing.

Why? So outlet employees can "sit" on them and then buy the whole stock? Unless you're a outlet employee who regularly sees these kinds of releases, or know someone who has the hook up for pairs from outlets like this, you're essentially going to take an L because these employees KNOW what the value of shoes like this too..

Most of us don't have a NikeTown or Nike Store in there in state, whereas most people have an outlet store in driving distance. If Nike decides to just re-allocate them to their B&M retail shops, then most of us wouldn't even have a shot anyway. If Nike decided to send them to retailers such as FTL & Co, DTLR's, Jimmy Jazz, etc., wouldn't the same shadiness occur with their employees? I mean they know what these are going for in the resell market.

Yeah, my local FTL/HoHs provide stock for several resellers. I'd rather take my chances and fight it out with bots online then drive around for raffle tickets with pairs already backdoored.

Just as I typed that last response I thought I would try again and uninstalled it and it worked this time. Maybe they worked the bugs, maybe give it a try.

I think since everyone complaints about not having a store near, nike should do their releases at Walmart.. Boom problem solved. Now if dont have a Walmart near you you don't need to be rocking these shoes.

Yes, exactly. So why perpetrate the same nonsense at an outlet? The only rational and somewhat "fair" operation is to release these online, preferably at an undisclosed time and date, where everything is random.
