I dont own the 2013 breds but i do own the 2008 high straps. Great quality shoe in my opinion. My pair has held up great and Ive had them since 2008. As far as quality Id say theyre leagues above the DMP pack from 2009 but fall pretty short of the SBB. Id say they're in line quality wise with the laser 1s from this year.

I owned the straps and I own the 2013 black/red and both pairs are not even close to Laser 1s in terms of quality, and that is a fact.

I think they have been drinking too much of the JB Kool-Aid.
If you have the highs then you will be disappointed.
If you don't have the highs then I would recommend getting the highs.
If you are getting these as a supposed consolation prize to the highs then might I also suggest finding a local podiatrist because these hard plastic/vinyl shoes are going to mess your feet up eventually. After spending all that money to see the podiatrist...you could have just bought the highs and called it a day.

the 2008 high strap 1s? I only had the lasers briefly but never actually took them out and compared the 2. what yould you say the 2008 high straps are closest in quality too? Theyre not the best weve gotten but theyre far from the worst. I dont remember being that impressed by the 2013 bred 1s quality

the 08 straps were decent & durable but the leather was tough & unforgiving

ill agree to the higher quality leather for sure but tough and unforgiving? I went a half size up with them back then and they still feel great on foot today. the dmp pack is what i would describe as tough and unforgiving. Those murdered my feet both TTS and a half size up

just in comparison to 2013 the straps are tough...the 2013's are kinda tough in comparison to the frags>now 1's because they switched everything up

I don't own the 1s from the CDP but I have owned a couple of shoes from various packs. If the 1s are anything like the others they are significantly worse quality than the most recent release
