Are black toes the best option for a frag custom? I love all of the black toe 1s...black toe, Celtic, and baron...and I really want a royal black toe but I don't care about the frag branding lol.

you can probably just buy some of the all white Jordan 1s if you want a white base. But honestly, a good custom requires you to strip the paint/protective layer anyway so the cheapest Jordan 1 you can find with a white midsole is the best imo.

What's worse, swap/dye the the tongue & lining, or swap/dye the sole?

Plus on black toes you'd have to swap out the bottom or set to dye the red outsold blue

- Tongue is already black, no swap
- Easier to dye a white sole blue than a red sole blue

- Need to paint more
In short, CM is best for customs if you're patient or you get an expert to do it for you. Plus comfort >>>

Im a sz 12 and people just swear prices for these around 1k if that was so i would have a pair now i saw a guy on the bay with some vnds frags and he asking 1300. I could never pay over 1k for non ds.

Agree 100%. The white sole of the CM's would make it far easier to dye. And you don't have to paint the tongue or liner.

Tempted to get my CM's sole swapped and leaving the upper as is. Was wanting a white midsole with a black outsole, but kinda thinking about something with a outsole color that pops. That white on white just makes that sole look extra thick imo. lol
