Yea I would think they would be, not easy to replicate the aging of a thirty year old sneaker.They actually do have fakes but like you saidalp , they are very obvious.
were they advertised as ds or something? How would they be able to replicate the aging on them?

I read somewhere that they were already making fakes back then. I found @dunksrnice post. here are some pictures.
Chicago pair are authentic for comparison
If you do not have an OG for comparison, you really wouldnt know what a authentic pair looks like. good thing when I bought my pair, dank customs was able to legit my pair on IG and everything checked out ok.

Ok makes sense, although why they made fakes back in 85 is surprising, jordan wasn't nearly what it is now

The padding on the inside shouldn't exist anymore it should be crunchy by now but OGs were supposed to have inside the collar some padding that has dried up in 30 years

Appreciate it fellas! Jus curious, anyone ever look at the small "R" on the bottom of their shoes? Noticed the shape is different on this pair. All my pairs of 1s have the R shape in the first picture . Never seen a pair with the R shApe ofthe second pic. Not been nit picky, just wondering lol.
Edit: threw on the extra Royal 1 laces. I also really like the tongue material on these and the royals!

Kinda my thinking too. The CMs are nice and all, but I can't get down with an all white midsole and outsole. Really wish JB would re release some 1's like the New Loves or the DMP Celtics, but with the OG high treatment and Nike Air. I'd buy both in a second.

Just sent a payment of $325 shipped for a DS pair of Chi 1s. Was it a good deal or i should have waited? IMO, it's one of the better deals i've seen since RD, but what y'all think?

Look good with the royal laces. The R is probably just typical "quality control".
