You all blasted me for paying $700 for my Royals, but to be honest, i've worn the hell out of them and will continue to do so. 

Very happy with my purchase and glad I have my pair.  All I did was return Infrared White 6's, Yeezy foams and Baron 9's back to Niketown which pretty much paid for them.

 

3 pairs of kicks I'd rarely wear for 1 grail, yes please.

2001:~117,000* pairs


2013:~30,000* pairs

Those numbers don't really mean anything, 2001 release was 13 yrs ago. How many DS pairs do you think there are left out of those 117,000? There are way more deadstock pairs of 13's than there are 01's. I would guess that most of the 2001 pairs are either terribly beat or resting in peace in a landfill somewhere.

they were numbered but not up to 117,000

I use socks but it doesn't really do anything unless you apply some heat to it

I just toss the shoehorn back in them. Not because I want to bump out creasing, but because I'm trying to put my shoes back in the box and all of that **** is otherwise in the way

correct me if im wrong but the 01s were numbered to 50,000 right? atleast on the tag it said lol, i always wondered about that number and thought what are the odds someone else has the same numbered royals out there and nike was trying to be smooth and distributed them around thinking that they wouldnt ever find eachother lol

Yeah I thought so. Had a suggestion from a friend but thought the shoehorn that comes with the shoes would have the same effect

Back in my hay day I came close to buying Lucky dunks for 500 so we've all been there.

that little cardboard thing that comes with the shoe doesn't do anything, it doesn't really push on the toebox

yeah possibly either way id go for the 01s especially since for some reason they are now cheaper and easier to find a legit pair

I think the fakes have more to do with 2013s going for more then 2001s (if they are, I'm still not convinced)

yeah, the numbering that exists for the 01s are " out of" 27k, 40k, 50k

most US release pairs have the 50k

They did the numbering on '01's to build demand I believe. There's probably about 200k of each pair

I respect your opinion but these fakes are the only reason places like flight club and other places with reputation can even get away with charging 700 for royals, people are paying for peace of mind

also ive seen about 5 people already with 0 out of 00000

You've got to pay to play.  I got a legit pair and the shoes I wanted, no loss on my end.

I use plastic bags sometimes. Doesn't do too much but better than the cardboard inserts

Family Forever's came in. As people have said the leather is definitely top quality.

You need the cedar shoe trees to really take care of these. Not much if you paid resell prices on these.
