Since those black red 1s are ds, wouldn't the fact that they are laced like sb's be a red flag too? I've seen shoes fs on my fb groups that are ds and laced like sb's and always thought that was wierd.

This. I've never had an aj1 laced like an sb like that. And the wings logo and those morphed toe boxes is what was plainly obvious to me. Plus, who rips off the lacebag and takes out the shoehorns on a DS pair? Unless they were just trying to put in a legit shoe lace bag, take out the white/fake shoehorns and replace the box.

You're right, the toe box is horrible looking. No way to make it look that bad even with a bad camera and horrible angles. I tried to replicate it real quick. Can't
