leather is better on the 01, but i do agree that the shape of the 2013 is closer to the og, but did we all forget how the 01's color " pops like the finest champagne"

for me the difference between 01s and 2013s is the same between the difference on 01 black/red Xis and OG black/red Xis which is night and day, the fact that people say they are better or even look better is crazy to me but everyone has their opinion but im going to still guess that whoever says the 2013s are better than the 01s probably didnt own the 01s but i know thats not going to be 100% true all the time so dont come at me cuz i covered my bases lmao

01's are amazing, for starters the ankle padding in them things is incredible, the leather quality, color and shape.

this coming from someone who owns the '13 release but also isn't willing to spend crazy money for OG's, Banneds and in most cases but not all 94's.

Im really not a fan of the 2001s. I don't like the shade of red, it looks like it has an orange tint. They also look like more of a mid top than a high. The 2013s seem like the quality/shape is a little better aswell. Not saying 01s aren't nice, i would just rather have a pair of 2013s

^^ turned down a pair of black/red 01's from a friend after thoroughly examining a pair about 2 months ago. The color is very vibrant but I don't like the ankle padding on them. The nubuck swoosh doesn't bother me as it does others but '01's just look incomplete next to '13's. The 13's are still new so they aren't coveted but in about 5 years they'll be placed on a pedestal. I mean the resell prices on '13 royals and black/red 1's vs. '01 royals and black/red 1's should speak volumes

I'd take the 94s over the 01s and not even think twice.

OG's > 94 > Banned > 01's > '13

So I get why to possibly choose 2001 over 2013 (I am not a fan of the maroonish color of the 13 or the leather), but what is the advantage of having 1994 over 2001?

This speaks more of ignorance (people not seeming to realize how wearable older Jordan I's are) and people being caught in the moment than it does about which release is more worthy of being coveted.

1. Check eBay sold section in your size for prices and deduct fees for what local $$ will be.

2. Ask for a bunch of pics, may find a defect somewhere, but not likely major

3. Def TTS

Minus those caught in the royal hype, I would imagine anyone who's actually investing in Air Jordan 1's are pretty knowledgable about air Jordan's. I mean look at the people in the thread. We're the usual suspects, never anybody new.
