This is the prototype for the II, there is a pair in Bologna at BottegaBackdoor

Definitely not a prototype for the II. I was irritated to see SC post that and people believe and buy it. I was waiting for someone to post it so I could pounce with another history lesson.

Here goes...

Those are not samples and actually released. They are the Nike Air Chicagos and came in two colorways (that I know of) and were never meant to be the Air Jordan II. Here is a product description below from an Eastbay throwback:

700

And the metallic pair:

700

And finally the real Air Jordan II prototype:

High:
400

Low:
400

Class dismissed y'all.

I'm starting to think Nike sold out of these Jeters. Especially if it goes pass the retro 13 release. Somebody refresh my memory. When was the last time a relaunch took this long.

Couldn't have sold out, everyone had them in cart and then it got removed once they tweeted the launch would be postponed.

Nike waiting for Jeter's last game so they know how many pairs to have out there (3,465 pairs = # of career hits).

Air Jordan XI lows with the green snakeskin that just came out took awhile, about a week or so later if I can recall.
