Whenever I go to Nordstrom and see anything decent, like some Nikes or J's, they are always some Shaq sized shoes.

So I was strolling through Nordstrom Rack when I see.......
Summerlin to be exact.  About 30 minutes west of Vegas.  The first picture posted looked like it was in the NBA player sized aisle (size 16) from the looks on the tags on the other shoes.

sie 16 i still woulda copped at that price and maybe one day get em signed by MJ or something. those are beautiful :x

1985 min wage was $3.35

2015 min wage will be $8.03 (in Florida)

In 1985 you had to work nearly 20 hours at min wage pay to afford Jordan 1s.

In 2015 you will have to work....

Nearly 20 hours at min wage to afford Jordan 1s.

Same exact hours.
Good info.

With that being said though,

Jordan 1s:

$105.00 (2008)

$110.00 (2012) (2013 Chicago)

$115.00 (2013 Premiers)

$140.00 (2013) ***All OGs***

$160.00 (2015) Remastered

You both are right, but since Jordan 1s feature no new technology (no R&D cost) and the production process was mastered years ago,

with the exception to remastering, there was no real reason for that $25 price hike in 2013 (other than pure profit).

Especially when they knew the rematered Jordans were on their way.

A Jordan 1 should not cost $160.

A canvas Jordan 1 should not cost $140.

There is no way in hell anyone can justify a Jordan 1 low jumping from $99 to $140.

Especially with the Nouvea Mid using premium material at $130.

the avg total cost to make and ship a pair is less than 20 dollars. plus back in the day they were made in korea, now china, different places have different material and costs. jordan shoes are not some high end stuff but def not on the low too. and you gotta consider the whole market demand and other brands price too. of course its pure profit. their goal is to make money. nothing else. if you were nike you would increase the price as well. who wouldnt wanna make more money?

I've really had an itch to sell all my retros and just rock solely with the 1s... I've already sold all my 12s and 13s earlier in the year. Seriously considering parting with just about all the others as well

I feel you bro!! If I had to choose only one model Jordan for the rest of my life it would be the AJ 1 hands down. I went from about 200 pairs of AJ's with about 32 of those being AJ 1's years ago to now having about 120 pairs of AJ's with 51 being AJ 1's. I have, and love a lot of other models but it doesn't help someone like me that they drop a million pair of AJ 1's a year. The AJ 1 has it's ups and downs over the years between quality ,materials, cut, branding etc. as others do but if your a AJ 1 fan you can't help but love what they have done with this model since the 2011 banned's dropped, mids included. I copped 20 pairs of AJ 1's from 2014 alone which is crazy because I'm trying to get to a point where I buy no more 20 pairs of sneakers period a year. :smh:
