I find this very odd too.

I used to just brush it off as excitement towards getting something they like (specifically in reference to the similar "people are going to regret sleeping", "don't sleep", "these are future classics" type of comments), but I feel like I regularly see people who bought something ONLY return to threads to make resale predictions now, and I always can't help but wonder why that's even something that they're sitting around thinking about enough for them to feel the need to post about it.

If you talk to a lot of these dudes outside of NT about shoes, the first thing they'll tell you is that they're worth "this much"...

I actually kinda liked the Melo release... it seemed to form more of a community by forcing sneakerheads to go to stores and discuss the release online as opposed to the usual ATC services/bot nonsense that occurs during big releases (and will likely occur with Columbia IVs tomorrow).

 They were supposed to come out in December but got pushed back after stores got their shipments. So since stores had customers asking about them they went ahead and sold them. Then randomly online sites released them yesterday and today. The release was odd to say the least.

Also not sure if all pairs are like this but the outsole is super flexible compared to normal recent AJ1s.
