Aren't these just aj1 "nouveau" mid... Footlocker realized them in all kinds of colours. I have the low top version black leather / black suede.

Yes you are right except that this colorway wasnt released here in the US. went to other footlockers,shiekh earlier and they did not have this colorway. I will be contacting nike to do a product search on these.

I'm not into Royals for the resale price. Could've got them for retail during All-Star weekend in Houston back in 2013 but I passed. I'm in the minority but I like the Knicks better 

 I'm going to pick up some Old Loves this year. I don't care for the '13 Black Toes.

...But he got those Jokers for free! Surely they have a spot within those 1's.

That's how I felt when I was setting up for the pic, but they do seem a little out of place. They made a good place holder for now.

I like the '09s better. I just noticed that they had a rip stop tongue today. Not everything has to be an exact copy of the originals.

'09s have their merits

Great leather and all that

However, the tongue is meh and the non-colored wings logo is meh

There Was Nothing "Butter" About The 09 BReds My Dude And I Have Every BRed 1 Released With Exception Of Banned Retro's And 94's


In Fact, I Was Actually Noticing Something On The Releases From This Time Period That Speaks Directly To The Leather Quality Used.


I Posted A Link A While Ago In Here Or Maybe An AJ 6 Thread That Breaks Down Leather And It's Grading System.


One Important Tall Tale Sign Of Leather Quality Is To Look At The Edge Of It. If The Leather Has Been Rounded Or "Wrapped" On The Edge, That Is A Sign Of Cheap Leather Being Used. Versus True "Good" (I Use This Term Lightly) Quality Leather Will Have Exposed "Unwarapped" Edges.


The 09 Releases All The Way up Thru Those 2013 Plasticy Chi's All Have Clearly Wrapped Edges, Where As These Newer Nike Air Drops All Have Exposed Edges If Anyone Could Chime In On Banned's I'd Be Interested To See The Edge On Those
