i copped some vnds 2013 royals, months back and retired my 01's 

But he just said they were dead stock

Why so ? Because 2001 will climb in price ? I thought it was reasonable to wear 01 now since they are 14 years old there isn't as much as life in them,but you can keep '13 DS for years since they only 2 years old.But thanks.Anybody else would like to make some input ?

you wont have to worry about maintaining the 2013's as much as you would the 01's ( nubuck swoosh). the cut is bit higher on the 2013's and the ankle padding is much more fitting 

regardless of which pair you do decide to wear, they will last you for years.

yeah i know lol, its just a wishful statement. Though if it did re-retro so soon, i wouldn't be surprised nor would I mind. Look at chicagos, it hasn't been long since the last retro. And who knows, new royals might mean remastered leather.

I think chicagos are only coming back out because it has been a while since they were in OG form. They dropped recently but with the jumpman. They are one of the few og colorways that haven't dropped recently in their true form.

No. They'll butcher the NA remastereds concept with rinky dink colorways. They'll toss a few gems here and there like the remaining OGs, and reretro previous 1s, but NA renditions this time around. Thats my philosophy. If they do drop again the likelihood of them being properly done is slim.

i'll most likely pass on the other og retro this year (carolina). Bred's technically has been retroed every 2 years so far since 09 not counting this year (correct me if i'm wrong)

That said. You cant just keep rehashing a 1 in the same old colors alot. If royals dropped every couple years i wouldnt bother but, if they dropped again lookin like frags only 2 years removed from the last time, im all in. Thats about the last time though cause all i ever wanted was a retro to get back to the og form atleast once. 2013 is a great start but frags and chicagos show there is much room for improvement. One huge bonus is that we can expect every important 1 retro that hasnt been done to release just like the ones i just said.
