ive had it both ways... as a seller i just ask for gift & a detailed note on it so were both on the same pg & theres no bs...

You'll get banned quick doing that, PP reads the notes randomly on gifts and if they say anything besides "Happy Birthday!" etc. they will ban both parties.

I doubt it I use paypal gift to payback my friends and put crazy stuff in the notes sometimes and never had an issue

For PayPal meet up you can also do invioce as a seller just make sure it's detailed and states some like "by paying this invoice the buyer confirms that he has received the sneakers and they are in his possession" Something like that and you should be covered if a claim is filed. With PayPal invoice it's all about the details.
