I made a mistake by showing my so-called-friend my stash and when I was away on vacation, him and his boys broke into my storage and took all my OG's, DMP's, and a few houndred pairs of shoes that my father passed down to me before he passed
Were the shoes insured? Obviously you're not going to get the real market value unless you've got a great insurance company.

I remember a kid I knew lost his house from a fire and all his sneakers he managed to get all his shoes valued at Flight Club prices so he got way over the true value of what were mostly the flavor of the day

Thanks fam

I just couldn't pass them up with these being the condition they're in and my size

God only know when I would come across these again if ever

In that yellowed condition though, will you be able restore that portion, or are you just purchasing for collection? Just curious fam, I'm born 84 and been rocking J's since the early 90's but these days I dont care for purchasing old sneakers in the case of rocking because from my experience they dont have much wear left to them.

Luckily, they were. But like you stated, I got back pennies on the dollar...even though I did get back quite a bit :frown:

I dunno ones are just about wearable forever outside a few issues

look at @dunksrnice in the WDYWT thread. He wears his OGs on a semiregular basis

whatd he pay?
He traded db v, db vi, and db 9 for them. He has triples of the all the db joints plus he only had about $950 in those 3 pairs.
Man, I'm in Texas, too. Houston! I have some shoes for trade. I need that sweetheart deal just like that! I got some Joker 1s for for Breds, Royals, and Shadows.

I wouldn't meet up via paypal as a buyer or a seller lol.
Yup

That's actually smart to do. Especially if it's high value, not sure why you wouldn't do it
terrible idea because the buyer could file a PayPal claim saying they never received the item and you pretty much lose the case automatically
Bingo. I had some scum try and say some Rockets I sold him were fake. Idiot didn't realize I had season tickets and could find out when the tickets were used to access Toyota Center. Needless to say, I got my money and PayPal didn't even bother contacting me because they knew he was a filthy liar. Regardless, lesson learned on my part. Bring your cash or stay your a55 home.

Rule 1: The only time people should see your collection is WHEN IT'S ON YOUR FEET/On Here (unless friends on here too, then no) other than that keep people in the loop......If you had kilos of cocaine worth thousands stashed at your house would you invite people over for a look see n ****.

That's Messed up homie got his Collection Jacked!!

Yes, they can easily be restored but I'll just keep them the way they are. I honestly bought them to put in a case and display them in mi casa somewhere. No point in wearing them when they retro here in May.

Some dude I work with at my local consignment shop is the best at what he does:

^^ Some 85' Black/Reds he restored.
Thank you.... Glad I'm not the only one!
@getemchavez congrats bro...mint!

that hype an price bubble will burst eventually, it has too Right? Lmao

I think you're starting to see it already. Packs like asg, bhm and Xmas that were instant sellouts about a year and half ago are now sitting. Production numbers and prices have increased. Not really any money to be made on retroes anymore except I slight few.
