I'm trying to figure out if I'd like a black tongue on my white/black 1s. Any pictures of them next to each other?

They must've realized the "Noveau" and "Phat" concepts and colors weren't selling in mid versions and decided to switch it up to the highs.

If these are actually iD, like most Nike iD options, they won't let us make any worthwhile or OG colors...

Most definitely.. I don't wear my patents without them, so I have very very minor creasing. I only use them on my grails though. Shadows, Black LMs, etc.. get the normal treatment.

Do you use the white or the black version?

Yeh only on shoes like them or 3m etc.
I use the white ones. Black work better but are stiffer so can be umfortable

Like @matters7 said, Id stick with the white ones. They are flimsly, more comfortable, and do the job. I'd only use the black one if you really want to repair damage. They are sturdy enough to push out any crease that you may have, but stiff when walking.

With either version, you can likely stay TTS if you use a slimmer insole, otherwise your toes may rub. Some people prefer to go up a half size, but i'd rather throw in a newer tech insole to make the 1s more comfortable.

What size y'all think I should cop? I'm a 9 - 9.5. I don't want to order the 9 and it be too small for the 9.5s, or order the 9.5 and it be too big for the 9s. Advice?

I think I speak for everyone here that we want less demand for the 1s. However, I fear if there is ever less demand for 1s, like there was between 2001-2012, we may fall back to a similar result as far as colors and quality.

They look like they're gonna go on ID.

People are still hyped about these though, dunno why - probably because of the words "Rare Air"

Anything on iD is a good thing. You get to be creative with silhouettes that speak and fit your style. It also dries up the hype buyers and after market value, which only leaves those that truly want a shoe for wearing purposes. Where's the bad in that?

I think they're afraid that it would devalue the shoe - because people will butcher these big time

Devalue...devalue...devalue a shoe? What's that even mean? People WILL create Yeezy color ways, South Beach color ways, and every other color way imaginable but how does that affect the individual that has whatever color they own? Are we all at the same high school worried about wearing the same thing as our classmates?

as long as they allow us to make any colorway in OG blocking it may be the greatest thing Nike ID has ever done, i myself would pay decent money for pairs that arent available and for some that are but only if the leather is decent
