Good question....store employee hooked up with neon orange laces that low key match.

Man, I WRECKED these during my freshman year of high school

It was a consolation for not owning the Black Japans.

I realized at that point that I just don't do well with consolations. Ended up making the same mistake with the 2012 Black/Red KOs anyway.

Just know that anytime I buy an all black Jordan 1 it's with a tear in my eye for those Japan's. Only reason I sold myself on the black gums.

I got rid of all my Pre-2013 1s, I only have this left and have been considering getting rid of them and copping a pair of Black/Whites from last year to replace them.

Those KOs were great in general, but I bought them mainly because I had bought the Strap Black/Reds and returned them, passed on the pack pair because the quality was weak, passed on the Banneds when they were reselling for like $200, and just really wanted a damn pair of Black/Reds

Especially with no heel Jumpman. But in my heart I wanted a pair with a leather upper so I was settling and that rarely works for me.

I can give you my whole story of my sneaker life but honestly...I got back into the game back in 2011 due to the TB3...when your away for college, studying and working who is gonna have the time to collect every jb1s like pokemon cards...

I'm making up for my lost time now and getting the 1s I missed out on before 2013. Vegas, 2009 shadows etc....

Myself, owned the 2001 breds and royals... But traded them back in the day for steep tech jacket + cash...thinking back...what a mistake lol

You do have a point fam, since it was brought up, this is a pic that I took in 2012 (no 2013's and beyond)...

Not including the black/red KO and minus the DMP set which I offed the end of 2012. Also minus the Chicago KO which I got rid of after doubling on the 2014 release. Still have everything else.
