anyone know if its possible to paint the midsole on the OG Black gum 1's white like the 1.5s? Or will the black show through even with a couple layers?

I always thought those 1s would look better with a white midsole. 

I don't see why you couldn't. It will probably take a good 3 or 4 coats of paint but I don't see why it couldn't be done.

Not sure why you wouldn't wait for the 1s with a white sole to drop in November. It would be extremely difficult because the number of coats you would need wouldn't insure the black still wouldn't show through and in essence give you a less bright white appearance which I'm assuming you want.

You can paint the midsole.. It'll take more than a couple thin coats to look right.

Try it on some Air Force ones perfect it and you'll be fine, everything you need is on angelus or you can even go to the sneaker art forum and ask those guys.. Anything is possible when it comes to customizing shoes.. Just takes a load of patience

I will say that I did not like the black and gum ones but those are amazing to me with some white laces they would be amazing as well

The upper is still trash and o have 2 pairs

We all hoped for all black upper and white midsole with gum sole

Still would have been a sick shoe as is if they didn't have the stupid shiny leather

Why not just get the lasers from 2008 I believe. Great quality shoe. Leather is butter soft, inner is velvet iirc, also there's lasering over the majority of the shoe done on suede. White midsole, gum bottom.

Lasering is nice IMO. I used to stare at it in class sometimes back in high school. It was really fine detail too, I could wave the suede back and forth. Laces weren't waxed, but there was something dope about them idk what to call it, they just felt and laced better
