Yeah but we all know this new found hype supersedes those facts...

I picked them up, looked at them, and I didn't see what's the big deal with them -- but to each his own.

I guess the only good thing is that this instance still proves THE PEOPLE make the call on what's HOT. Nike can't construct and strategically hype everything beforehand. That colorway was probably nothing more than an outlet-to-be release initially...

Triple blacks on FTL also.  The initial thumbnail is generic pair of nikes, but once you click on them it shows the triple blacks.

But, here's what I don't get --

Didn't Nike try a colorway very similar to this in like 2006? They even put it on a huarache - a mid. And, they added 3M. ...And, they sat until they got marked down to like 24.99.

The did an Air Max light and Air Stab too. I feel like they did a Trainer Max 94 as well.

Sure, maybe this is a cleaner colorway, but it seems strange that you couldn't GIVE the others a way, and now these are being heralded as a modern classic in waiting. What changed?


...Could it have been the CW of the infamous Yeezy?

I just cant see how poeple see these hyper punches as a "yeezy" colorway..They remind me more of the siren red roshe's.

If the outsole was hyperpunch along with with midsole they'd be an instacop for me but my triple blacks are way better so that might not be a pair that ever makes it home, I need to see them in person.

Hyperpunches are better than the grey/volt joints, but I still rank the US released colorways thus far in this order:

Scream Greens

Pigeons

Blue Heros

Green Abyss

Triple Black

Cool Grey

Hyper Pink/Dusty Cactus

Photo Blues

Sandy Beaches

Hyper Punches

Grey Volts

Black Venoms

I don't think I'm forgetting any that we've seen land in stores or available online. There's that grey/red pair that was up on NDC but never made it in stock so I didn't include those. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm missing something that dropped this year stateside (didn't count Catalinas cause haven't seen them here yet, nor the Triple Whites or the Love/Hate, etc, etc)

I did not even think about Yeezy's until it was mentioned just recently. I feel like the other shoes mentioned with similar colors had POOR execution. Hypers are a clean Retro+ Colorway.

QFT...the color blocking on the Hyper Punches is immaculate in my opinion (and apparently most others). Never even considered it a Yeezy until I heard the term used on here.

Expecting my SGs AND my first pair of Hyper Punches in today! Fixing to be on the mailbox like...
