RT @kevinding: I asked Dwight about his role in Lakers offense. "We have years to play with each other, so it's a learning process."
Don't let Coupe see this, lol.
Or Ska.

Jermaine O'neal was for sure my favorite player when he was with the Pacers

Hey man if he's committed and publically says he is, then all this Dwightmare stuff could end. I'll fall back. But Dwight's mind changes after every game, he's still an emotional indecisive wreck.

Last year it was Brooklyn, then the Magic went on a winning streak beating the Heat and Celtics, then he's opted in for another year. Then he got hurt and the Magic were horrible, and in the offseason he said the Magic blackmailed him and he wanted to go to Brooklyn again.

That's just who Dwight is. If the Lakers end up making the playoffs and go on the run, I'm sure he'll be more inclined to stay. If they don't and the drama pursues I'm sure he'll change his mind.

Trade deadline is over now tho, it's time for the Lakers to step it up and make some noise.

If this is the case then why not let him play out the year and make his decision tho? I probably hate Dwight more than anyone but yall going too hard on him. Yall know when you traded for him he wasn't resigning until the summer. Yall choosed to put yourself through this. He hasn't demanded a trade or said he wanted to play somewhere else (I don't believe reports of a "source" who overheard a convo with him and Rudy Gay). Just let him get healthy, play, maybe make a playoff run then in the summer hope he realizes this is his best bet.

Hey now, I'm not the one demanding that Dwight announce that he'll be a Laker for life. I don't need that kind of assurance. It's other Laker fans (and apparently fans of other teams) who need it.

I don't know why they want him to say he'll stay with the lakers.

Like we didn't go through this with Kobe in 04.. Kobe never said anything about resigning with lakers till they got rid of shaq.

What's funny is this is the role reversal Kobe-Shaq.

Shaq was the old dude that wouldn't let Kobe take the reigns.
Now Kobe is the old dude, will he give Dwight the reigns?

Only diff is Kobe being a career Laker whereas Shaq was an 8 year rental.

Funny how that works out.

I saw @jose3030 on twitter say he'd put it up afterwards. He's the one who always posts gifs and vids asap from the NBA.

Johnny Buss looks a lot like him :frown:

A verbal commitment means absolutely nothing...so there's no need for Dwight, CP3, or any other potential FA to provide their respective fan bases with some false hope or reassurance.

This whole Dwight situation has been over-analyzed to death. IMO, dude is coming off a major surgery and obviously he's still not healthy. I'd guess that the thing he's probably frustrated with the most is that he's not able to perform at the level that he's accustomed to...and the losing, which has a lot to do with all of the injuries that have affected this team so far. That's not an excuse, it is what it is.

If he stays it's because he has faith in the franchise and Kupchak moving forward that they'll be able to surround him with the pieces to compete for championships in the future. If he goes, I think it's because he looks around and sees that the Lakers will be in a rebuilding mode two years from now and he doesn't want to stick around for that. Tough decision to make either way.

Although true, Dwight now had nowhere near the drive and determination that a young kobe had, and still has to this day. Nobody ever once had to ask kobe bryant to work harder throughout his career.
