Good shoe to rock on the beach?

I'm going on a cruise in a few months & it got me thinking what kicks i'm gonna wear. I know on the boat, some Janoski's or something of that nature is golden, but what does everyone wear on the beach? I'm not particularly fond of slides, that's why this question has came about. I know i'm not the only one who doesn't really wear slides. ANY & ALL help is appreciated.
 
Native - "Howards" (AKA: A Sperry & Croc mash-up.)

They're made completely of EVA foam and feel comfortable if you're doing casual, outdoor activities. My girlfriend bought me that navy pair last year and they've traveled all over the world since. Used them to hike into an active stratovolcano in Asia, walk the the field of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and hang out on a cruise ship to the Bahamas. They took a beating on that hike, but are still holding up...
 
Try some roshe runs, they're all mesh and comfortable to wear the whole day and you can wear them sockless...the only shoe that i will ever wear sockless
