Bulls offseason Thread

Rose said he tweaked his ankle in a second quarter collision.

Didn't get to see the game.

Smh, those ankle braces he wears don't do **** lol

Its all good. Everyone calm the **** down.

 Boys are in Mid February worry mode 5 games in :smh:

I didn't see a lot of inside out play yesterday, the ball went in and didn't really come back out majority of the time. It's clear the focus is on interior scoring, which is cool considering the ability of the front line, just thought that was interesting.

Forreal ya bugging  :smh: ... Rose is going to miss games, that's a given, let's not act like he didn't roll the **** out of his ankle vs the Cavs. You could hear the silence, the whole UC stopped breathing on that play, even the replay made my stomach cringe because I thought he broke it. Management/Thibs will continue to downplay the injury but dude was legit hurt after that one.

Rest him vs Philly & Boston this weekend, bring him back vs Detroit on Monday.

We need JO back.
Thibs gotta start letting Naz get some tip and try to keep Pau fresh.
Gotta take advantage of the soft start to the schedule and keep those minutes low.

On a different note, both ORL and MIL played well. Looks like the East is resurging.

we will be FINE fellas were playing decent & theres still rust & getting to kno each other...the cooking wont stop but the injuries will

Honestly, Taj's injury looked worse.

The crowd would've freaked out at the first sign of any injury

So sad....we get used to it for years to have our Chicago Bulls playing without rose or seeing limited action. I wonder whether it is his way to play to hurt himself so often or are his shoes not providing good ankle support and stability. I remember a guy showing me hus drose shoes which were extremely light and soft. I told him i prefer shoes like the lebron 11 or air jordan 2012 when playing basketball as i like to have more stability and less flexible soles.

In the first game, on the same play, he says he sprained one ankle and tweaked the other. He takes a few games off, and then in one play again, he aggravates both ankles.

I wanted to buy a pair of 5s cuz his shoes are looking extra nice this yr, but forgive me if I'm lacking confidence in his kicks =/

You can have kicks made out of admantium and they wouldn't prevent anything when you land on someone's foot.....

Yea, but what about the other ankle that didn't land on a foot but gets tweaked anyway? Twice. In the same week.

He keeps landing on the left foot wrong, yea but he says he also has problems with the right

 For some reason I can picture some of you spending hours poring over DVR footage of the Cavs game trying to determine exactly when he tweaked the right ankle.

From what I've read he overcompensated for the left foot and tweaked it early in the 2nd half.

It doesn't matter when or how; he can rest and heal both during this early part of the season and from watching him on Wednesday he should. There's enough PG depth.

Taj could use a game or two off but there's not much frontcourt depth.

Jordans that never crease or scuff with primo materials would be nasty

Glad Jimmy only missed 2 games after the initial report stating weeks. Picked up right where he left off in preseason, "Buckets" a suitable nickname.

Relative to Klay's 4/$70M extension, Butler deserves to be paid. He fits Chicago and I'd like to see him eventually reach a compromise with the Bulls. Wouldn't surprised me if Jimmy ends up having a better career than Kawhi. Yeah, I said it. Look how Butler's offense is improving and coming along at a rapid pace.

Not sure if posted in the thread already but did anyone read Chicago Sun-Times where they just RIPPED D-Rose?

They were talking about how we shouldn't trust Rose anymore and allat

the "writer" who did it is worse than kelly dwyer on yahoo... i ignored it

Listen, im as leary about D. ROSE as anyone. The injury is always in the back of mind, and every time he goes down i gasp a little. I dont know if he'll ever be the old Derrick, but he sure as hell shows flashes. I have no doubt that he'll play through pain. Just give me 60-65 games and im good.

"Rose said he didnt have a setback in Milwaukee but is "trying to be in here for the long haul"

That's ironic since Dwyer looked up to Telander. I don't mind Dwyer though.

Can't stand Cowley and now Telander. For TV / radio media Kap and Haugh are the kobe beef of Chicago meatheads. Don't get me started on Bernstein....
