Taj or Deng + Mirotic, & Cha pick

For DMC... Would they really say no?

Why don't we have the NUTS to make that happen?

Of course because they've grown attached to what he was/did for that brief period of time. Prisoners of the moment. Hence Rip & Kirk's contracts and refusal to move Luol.

The FO makes it hard to be optimistic that's for damn sure. :smh:

You people are terrible. ...we are running the league next year. I ain't scared of no one. Nothing but positivity! !!! Chicago Bullies.....

It's not about the Regular season though its about the Playoffs and I don't see how we're going to run that.

Pretty much said Derrick was close to Adams and isnt very happy that hes gone. So let me get this straight he was close to our top 3 coach, close to our franchise player, but we get rid of him because our GM doesnt like him. I swear we have the WORST front office in the league
mean.gif
seriously

btw which shooters are available this summer?

I like the Dunleavy signing. Im not mad at it at all. Wish we could keep Marco but i think we are going to be outpriced for him

Happy about the Dunleavy pick up especially for 3M a year, im realistic I know Marco and Korver are both about to be too expensive.

On the other note what are we doing, when does the owner step in and recognize your GM is hurting the team breaking down relationships with your star player and top coach signing crippling contracts get Gar the **** out here

NEVER. Remember the same owner let a fat *** crumbcake send away the GOAT and the best coach in history.

That's for damn sure. I feel like I will be an old *** man still rooting for the team and shaking my head at managment never getting it right.

I get it. I see the big picture. I see and hear everything. why waste time ranting on things that aren't coming? You don't think I want Aldridge or Love? You don't think i've thought anout Cousins? I'm all over it....but nothing was gonna happen last year, and nothing is gonna happen this year. I can't be the only die-hard Bulls fan that knows this. Now, next off season, that's a different story.

But I digress.....we're Championship contenders next year, and that's important enough to get the red blood in my Mexican veins pumpin.

Dunleavy allows us to play small ball at times if we keep deng, with noah at center and deng at PF. would be prefect when we play teams like the heat and knicks.

You must have been absent when Luol was in trade talks last week.

The FO has a plan for 2014 - not saying I necessarily agree with it, but they're not going to sacrifice cap space for anyone who isn't in their long term plans.

Nate and Marco played themselves out of our price range - how would we sign them to bigger contracts with limited cap space? Who would we move to create cap space and would have us better off? I'll wait.

It's the same crap last season. People were down on the FO for signing Marco and Nate in the first place then look how well they played this season. The bench isn't the most important part of your team - your starting 5 is. Butler is sure as hell an upgrade to any SG we trotted out next to Rose the last few years plus Rose is coming back. Do we need a second shot creator? Yes, I won't argue that. But trading Noah for an Aldridge/Cousins drastically weakens our interior D which is absolutely crucial to beating Miami especially if we kept Boozer in those situations.

For a team who finished 1st the past 2 out of 3 years, listening to our fans would make you believe we're a lottery team. The FO obviously believes we can compete for a title as currently constructed. That is yet to be determined, but come on, we've seen this team play altogether only once. I don't understand how you can get a gauge of our chances of winning the 'ship from that sample size.

If there is any truth to Aldridge wanting to come here and us not getting him then i'm gonna be ....

this team has no creativity at all.

Get Aldridge. Give up noah and deng if you must. Then trade for Asik, Houston is already shopping him. Amnesty boozer then snag a two guard.

Rose
(Ellis, Butler, whoever)
Butler
Aldridge
Asik
This thinking will destroy the team. :rolleyes

Exactly. The Blazers wanted Kevin Love or Blake Griffin and turned down an offer from CLE including the #1 pick and the 19th pick. Why on Earth would they trade LMA for Deng when they have Batum? And why would we trade Noah for LMA if we'd still have Boozer? LMA doesn't want to play center and our interior D would be so much worse. Bron and company would be licking their chops if they got to drive all game against a Boozer/Aldridge front court.

And Ellis? Really? An incredibly inefficient player who thinks he is as complete as Dwyane Wade? C'mon man. :smh:

Mogs planned for 2010... Ended up empty

Mogs planning for 2014.... Who's even the target then? What names are out there next summer?

What happens if 2014 fails.... 2017 the next big year? Always a damn waiting period with this FO while good to great years are wasted.

I hate Gar by the way.... Just think about it, the mans name is GAR... Can't trust em word to Cakes go-to phrase..

Dunleavy gives us more size and perimeter shooting.. Like the signing.

Im more concerned with Rose and Thibs clearly against moves Gar is making thats the kind of stuff that has your star player and star coach leave.

Im agreeing with not really being concerned about the big trade to win, let me see us healthy, but in no way am i agreeing with your bench is some second class concern you muted any point you were going for with that statement. Your bench can make a huge impact on championship levels. I was never down on marco or nate followed em both before getting here but lets say hay I didnt like them just because the front office gambled and got it right doesn't mean you keep gambling thats how a sucker is born.

The thing that sucks is the chicago fan base is a little too loyal. We are top in attendance no matter whether we are in the bottom or on the top. It doesn't give the front office much incentive to make the team better and it probably doesn't give them much incentive to prevent Thibs leaving. And it would probably hurt to see Rose go but somehow I think they'llget over it pretty fast. This is the same front office who watchedd Mj and Phil go, like it's been mentioned. Very disconcerting. It's why the front office doesn't have any problems making power plays or delaying resigning Thibs or maintain the status quo in free agency.

Ironically, if Chicago had a fairweather fan base like Miami, the team would be better. The front office would be bending over backwards and on their knees making Thibs and Rose happy.

Agreed with the Thibs/Gar/Adams fiasco. That has me legitimately concerned.

At no point did I say the bench was a second class concern - I said it wasn't the most important part of our team so don't take my words out of context. And I never talked down on Marco and Nate. I was simply iterating the point that signing them to bigger contracts would mean moving someone for more cap space, and I'm not sure there are any players you can move in that situation without getting worse.
