***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I think 2016 will be huge in turnout. This is the first Woman President so the media will be all over this election as far as historical precedent is concern. I mean who doesn't want to vote for the first female President of the United States of America?.

Also, Trump's hateful rhetoric has caused so many Mexican Americans in my area of So Cal (whom have never cared one bit about politics) to register to vote. Hell I couldn't believe it when people I have known for years whom never voted ever in their lives actually campaigning to me and telling me Hillary's positions. I was impressed.
2008 had 129K+

2012 had 127K+

I expect this one to top out at maybe 122-24K which would be slightly better than 2004 but taking into account that there's a lot of people who voted in the past that may not show up.

If numbers are close to Obama though, it'll be the biggest washing since Regan in 1984 or at the very least Bush Sr. for Hillary.

There will definitely be books written about this campaign and they are going to make a lot of people a lot of money, but I don't think they'll have as much of a favorable interpretation of Trump's strategy as you're thinking.

His tactics worked in the Republican primaries, sure, but right now he's showing that he can't step out of that zone to draw in a more diverse base.

They may not emulate it entirely but they most definitely will learn **** from it and use some of his tactics.

If you want to run a campaign on how NOT to get elected to major office on a national level, of course. It'll be a cautionary tale more than anything. Some of his bigotry, fear and ignorance tactics may be effective though especially in rural areas and the majority of the South. Although those demographics are changing as well.

I think the voter turn out is going to be big. That idiot has had a polarizing effect on minorities & immigrants. Being a minority myself & being married to a black woman, we & everyone we know will be voting to help make sure a demagogue like trump doesn't get elected. My mother inlaw & her church are going to turn out in droves.

Even my wife's boss, a long time conservative republican said he's voting Hilary. He said that some of his republican friends will either not vote or vote for Hilary.

There's a lot of disinformation going around these days.

Claim: Trump is tight with Putin and is Russia's preferred candidate.

Reality: As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed off on the deal giving a good chunk of the US's uranium supply to Russia.

Claim: Hillary is way ahead of Trump in the polls. It's over.

Reality: pollsters like Reuters are stacking Dems in the polls to skew the results. Furthermore, Trump's social media numbers (For what social media is worth. I recognize much of it is BS) are far superior to those of Clinton. HRC even had to buy Facebook likes, Twitter followers and Hil PAC pays online trolls to confront the opposition online.

Trump: 10,000,000+ FB likes, Clinton 5,000,000+ FB likes
Trump: 11,000,000 Million followers on Twitter
Clinton: 8.34 Million+ followers on Twitter

I'm voting for Gary Johnson in November. Neither party represents my best interests. I acknowledge Trumps's positives: Nationalism, politically incorrect and the fact he's a vector. He's taken down the GOP and trying to torpedo the Dems. Both parties need to go. That said, Trump isn't the most qualified candidate to lead the US. Hillary Clinton is abysmal. Puppet for Soros, OK'd uranium deal with Russia, Libya, Haiti, the Clinton Money Laundering foundation and the scams her and Bill have pulled off all over the world. Unforgivable.

Let's not use the actual number of votes they got in the primary or even the polling numbers that come out each week, but instead likes and followers. Boy I tell ya, each day my faith in the intelligence of this country falls a bit more.

I wish I could say we were being trolled. But does it matter if we pretend?

He does have a point though. Lebron James has the most twitter and facebook followers of anyone in the NBA. Who won the 2016 NBA championship? Coincidence? I think not!

Also on this wonderful website...

And this dude starts off with...

There's a lot of disinformation going around these days.

I guess this is how the hardcore Trump supporters feel about muslims :x

And the comments on this post :x

Kinda scary how large that cesspool of a subreddit is. And these people are likely to attend his rallies in large numbers.

i was curios, then i read this reply in the whites are now a minority thread

Yea i do love her, you bring up very valid points. I just wish my **** and my brain could agree. She is a very nice girl though and anyone would be very lucky to have her. I'm probably in one of those you don't know what you got until it's gone situations. And at least she wants to reproduce with me and has a stable job. Ugh my head hurts lol. I called her dad today and got his voice-mail but left a message asking for permission to marry her. No response yet. Would be unforseen if he says no lol

Def feel the same way if anyone other than trump was running republican I'd vote for the gop.

Obama's electorate is Clinton's electorate.

What part of endorsement does he not understand? :rolleyes

it doesn't work like that. Hillary gotta win her own race, and even pundits in da tank for her have acknowledged, her re-assembling Obama's electorate isn't gonna happen.

In sheer numbers or demographics? Cause the latter is patently false.

numbers mainly & variances in demos.

Well she get 69 or 65 million votes like Barry, unlikely but as has been stated 100 times she's getting as much if not a of the percentage of blacks, and more of Latinos, women. Slightly less young voters and losing some blue collar whites, while also gaining Republican women and other traditional GOPers. Any way you want to try and frame it Drumpf is mathematically in a straight jacket right now.

But how is she doing on twitter and facebook?

edit: In other news:

In the eight states with competitive Senate races and both pre- and post-conventions polling, Trump had previously been down an average of about 6 percentage points; he’s now down an average of 9 points.

...

Six of the eight Republican candidates for Senate are polling worse than they were before the conventions.

Good thing the polls don't matter.

Lol and when after Labor Day the numbers still show she's way ahead, what's next on the docket? The 1st debate, after that? The 2nd debate? We'll get to inauguration day and you'll still be in your delusions on her doing terrible.
