***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Where does the Democratic party go from here? Who do they push out in 4 years?

The thought of Trump for 8 years :x

Dems are gonna need to either get their **** together FAST or just hold out hope that Trump burns bridges/makes enough internal enemies that it becomes politically damaging to keep him in office,we're a damn LONG way from that though  :smh:

Real talk, I don't care if we dominate Lincoln Chafee, we gotta go all in on the next candidate

The bench so thin for the DNC, Cory Booker might need to put the team on his back.

Lawd help us :smh:

You know what I just realized. The group that needs Obamacare the most didn't come to vote for the president that would keep that in LOL

There is still hope...

Exactly like the Brexit vote:

Those geezers straight hijacking their children's future and not giving two dambs in the process.
Wonder if as life hits them and they experience ups and downs and the desire to shift blame and having to pay taxes, are a lot of these young blue voters likely to turn red as they get older. Particularly white ones.

I know thats the age frame for some of our parents...but everyone's got a time.

We just gotta raise our kids better man...our present is a ****** up situation to be in, but our future can go down a different path...

Furthermore, the states and citizens that benefit most from the law, mostly voted for its repeal last night.

You gonna get Jim Webb, and you're gonna like it. You hear me.

I hope this gets all of the young whiners and **** on social media more involved in the political process. It was my first time voting and I know I'll be voting every time now, including in primaries. Still feel guilty for not voting for Bernie in them. Dude will be too old in 4 years time

Honestly that's probably the most predictable course of action... :smh:

I get the feel that moderates won't win them elections though

Was Obamacare even implemented properly in those states? I thought the ACA was left up to the states to run.

A state can set up its own marketplace it they chose, it wasn't mandatory.

But poor white southerns benefited alot from the law. Especially the few places where Medicaid was expanded

1928 was last time Republicans had the White House, the House and the Senate...
Nah, you mean after an election. It has happen after midterms. As recently as Dubya
You knew what I meant

Brah I'm in my feelings right now. My bad

My moms calling me asking me to explain if this means she gonna lose her insurance. She constantly got something going with her health.

I can hear voicing cracking because of worry

and I can't honestly tell her if it will be ok.

I'm sorry to hear that man. And people still act like this **** doesn't affect peoples lives

Russia's meddling is another big angle to this whole election and a dangerous new precedent

On the flip side of that though,no more cold war 2.0...

@mckaycoppins: MSNBC correspondent in Moscow says Russian people are reacting ecstatically to Trump's victory. They view him as the "peace candidate."

The danger here is if Putin considers the "peace candidate" as a lapdog

any of you feel that this could be a case of needing to take a big step back to go forward?

or is this just a coping mechanism for me?

Its not about Celebrities or SuperPacs either.

Clinton raised over $687,261,894 in Campaign funds compared to Donald's $306,930,980

It's about inspiring people to VOTE. Ninja was hammering at us about the rallies Trump had compared to Clintons. The excitement and thrill for Trump was real and we were too blind to see all that because of all the hate the media kept hammering at us on a daily.

Finally Something we can agree on.

-While we over here debating on whether to vote or not, the sws is not. They vote every time.

WS runs and built this damn system. Of course they vote. They get something outta the deal.

Groups that vote the most, tend to get their needs met. That is universal.

The groups that don't, are the ones looking for a sweeping revolutions, and think voting once is an answer.

I just don't see it happening right now when America does things like this its not just a step back its more like running back to 5 feet before the finish line and starting over
