Honestly? I hope we go off cliff head first.
Lets just rip da bandaid off now, take da medicine, and come
Out strong.
Its literally a reset button to 2001.

To address this...and if I'm off-base, I apologize in advance.

But you're on government assistance, right? If this is how you are living your life and things are going well for you, why would you hope for a sharp decline in the economy? I'm not following.

I need stabilaztion (sp?) in the economy and NO fiscal cliff because I'm trying to move a property of mine. I need the housing market to do well. The looming fiscal cliff would suck for me.

No i aint on government assistance, and contrary to popular belief, im FAR from broke.

Another recession would do nothing but tickle to be honest. Im DYING for some deflation so my stash

Can get some extra firepower :smokin

Blaming da GOP on da fiscal cliff looming when BOTH parties signed up for it is Comedy.

Better get ya parachutes boys & girls..that fall is gonna be a doozy for da unprepared.

"On the rare occasions in which I vote, and they’re pretty rare, sometimes I vote for Democrats, sometimes for Republicans, sometimes for somebody else. It’s not a sharp split. They’re two factions of the same party; we have a one party state with two somewhat different factions with a lot of overlap. The Business Party is a couple of factions. You find some differences between them; I wouldn’t say there’s no difference on the average. So what should you do in that case? Well, like everything, it’s your own choice. Do you want to live in a democratic society or do you want to live in the society we have, which remember is not a democratic society and is not intended to be. If you take a course in political theory here, I’m sure they’ll teach you that the United States is not a democracy. It’s what’s called in the technical literature a polyarchy. That’s the term invented by the leading democratic theorist, Yale professor, Robert Dahl. But the idea is old. It goes way back to James Madison and the foundation of the constitution. A polyarchy is a system in which power resides in the hands of those who Madison called the wealth of the nation, the responsible class of men, and the rest of the population is fragmented, distracted, allowed to participate every couple of years. They’re allowed to come and say ‘Yes,’ ‘Thank You,’ ‘Why Don’t You Continue for Another Four Years?’ And they have a little choice among the responsible men, the wealth of the nation. That’s the way the country was founded. It was founded on the principle explained by Madison in the constitutional convention, that the primary role of government is to protect the minority of the opulent against the majority. And then the constitution was designed to ensure that. There’s been a lot of struggle with it over the years, a lot of victories have been won by the public, so it’s not the same as two centuries ago, but that remains, it remains the elite ideal. And it’s a constant struggle, and most of the population is well aware of it."

Ya might as well get ready for it, harry reid hell bent on raising taxes & GOP

Aint blinking.

Glad my fams assets is ALL liquid and ZERO real estate..

Sequestration is eminent. Heard they wanna raise da debt limit to 19 trillion. Lulz.

The GOP gave up 10-12% (probably more considering that is only primary numbers) of their electorate at the Convention.

Good to see a drop in voter turnout also from a personal standpoint.

Rumor is Obama might be asking Romney to join his administration... Say what you what but Romney knows what to do with business. Already said it, but Todd Akin and Mourdock lost us two easy seats in the senate, and the tea party has to buzz off. Im not super far right on social issues, but idiots like Rick santorum, michelle bachmann, and newt gingrich stand no chance at all against any democratic canidate.. I suppose we as the GOP could move left on social issues, but then we would lose all those easy votes in the south that give us easy electoral points.. We did the Libertarian party dirty -.-

edit: I was wrong about Nate Silver, took his NY Times as left biased, but he was on point.

Rand Paul's days are numbered. He sold himself to the devil supporting those two clowns and Mittens. Rand Paul will NOT be reelected.

Exactly I'm more Fiscally Conservative but the Social-Conservatism and religious nuts needs to fold. It's embarrassing to the Republican party. They need to be more progressive. Maybe I'd actually vote for Republican then.

Where you hearing about this with Romney joining the administration?

The fact that the GOP is ready to fall over the cliff over raising taxes on rich people should tell you all you need to know

They fight for a very small percentage. And will **** over the rest of the country in the blink of an eye. So at the end of the day it isn't even JUST social issues that are the problem

Just FYI, you tax these people 100% and you won't do squat to the deficit. Current debt is $16 Trillion...TRILLION...With a "T".

I completley get that. But they are drawing a line in the sand for no apparent reason. Going back to Clinton era cuts is not serious. In any way.

You can't start the conversation by saying

* we won't raise taxes one penny on the rich
*we will not decrease the military.
* we will not decrease oil subsidies.
