***Official Political Discussion Thread***

A lot of these political pundits are THEE worst. :smh: Scum of the ******g Earth. People forget about these things the next week but these morons get away with making ignorant comments far too often.

Mathews is an ***. Times like these I wish Obermann were still around to troll him

I think the election really comes down to who is the cooler and more charismatic candidate at least in all the elections ive been around for:

Reagan> Carter
Bush Sr= Dukakis neither really had it imo
Clinton> Bush Sr
Bush> Boring Gore or Kerry
Obama> McCain
Obama> Romney

Im gonna say partly ( because I do think Romney was a square who wouldnt know how to talk to anyone who isnt an older white guy), but there are other factors too.

but also I think its just not having strong enough candidates. besides Mccain, I dont think any of the other losers were strong enough to win

But i AM good though

Stashed income + cheap rent = not a care in da world

Da white picket fence aint on da cards, dont want it, dont need it.
I rather have property in DR, & avoid da property tax in da US, as well as not having
A damn 30 year mortgage...long term debt? Im good.
I dont know if its wise to be paying NY rent money for a arm x arm measurement bed room. Typically, with a really rough economy, the hood is first to suffer. Why you would be hoping fir another recession in which people lose EVERYTHING  to happen just shows your level of intellegince and maturing. Recessions ain't a joke bro, done know a bit of ppl who suffer when the economy suffers. If its all "gravy" in DR, why don't you move back? Oh thats right, its not that "gravy" in DR B. Things are WAYYYY worst.

Ninja, your fond of American automobiles...What say you about Obama saving the American auto industry (sans Ford)? Not sure if anyone has asked you that before. Independent analysts say Romney's approach of letting them go bankrupt & go through a managed bankruptcy would not have worked in '08 because the credit markets were extremely frozen and their wasn't any international sources of funding...

Not only did it save the American auto industry, it resulted in a revival of sorts. We haven't seen good american cars in a long long time & these companies started turning a real profit while not only maintaining jobs, but creating them too.

It also helped the president get re-elected...Food for thought....

I get that, and good for you.
But your basically bragging that another recession won't ruin life. Guess what, it won't ruin mine either, it won't ruin hundreds of millions of other Americans.
It is nothing special
And your in the position your are in because of help from the government.
Da rent control isn't out of the goodness of landlords hearts.
Millions of people might get their lives destroyed by another recessions you trying to stunt because your not going to be one of them. Grow the **** up

Maybe I'm slow, but wouldn't that be government "assistance?"

:nerd:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said the voters have not endorsed the "failures or excesses of the president's first term," but rather have given him more time to finish the job.

"To the extent he wants to move to the political center, which is where the work gets done in a divided government, we'll be there to meet him halfway," McConnell said.

Yeah we are screwed

This guy is delusional.

republicans kept da house, and he basically said what every obama apologist have uttered since this election season.

fiscal cliff is coming

u my account b?

If you lost your job.. How long will you survive.

A year at best?

If that?

You know who isn't broke someone who if they lost their job could live comfortably for years.

As Deuce has indicated 100s of times.. You're what people would call a C-Class Republican.

My point is that this guy's party loses and he has the balls to put words in the voter's mouths. Who the hell is he to say what grounds the people have elected anyone? That's what I meant by delusional.

romney also said he was for government backed guarantees, da comment of letting da "private sector secure da funds

for a loan" was a misnomer.

and from day one i said i was for obama's bailout..what i wasn't for was da bank bailout, those jerks should've ate those loses.

What?!? mittens never backed government bail out of the auto industry...& he still didn't back off saying he didn't support the auto bailout. It's one of the many things that help cost him the election...

law of da land =/= government assistance

thats like saying grandfathered cellphone plans are somehow subsidized because people got locked in a better deal then you did.

when you in a spot in NY for more then 30 years, and you live in a pre-war building, it qualifies for rent control/stabilization.

when folks live in da projects, they fall under rent subsized housing for LOW income. i can make 150k a year and STILL qualify

for my apt since it has ZERO to do with income. dont hate da player, hate da game. :smokin

landlords receive GENEROUS tax breaks for having these types of spots in their building. program is dunzo, so if you got it, its

gold plated.
