In January: Pat Robertson Said God Told Him Barack Obama Would Not be Reelected
81 year old Evangelist Pat Robertson knows everything because God bends his ear — and apparently God chose a Presidential candidate while He was politicizing in the Heavens, then promptly relayed that information to Robertson, but said he was not allowed to say who it was, but it was not Barack Obamaaccording to Newsmax.

“Your country will be torn apart by internal stress,” Robertson said God told him. “A house divided cannot stand.”

“Your president holds a radical view of the direction of your country, which is at odds with the majority. Expect chaos and paralysis. It’s a radical view of the future of this country, and so that’s why we’re having this division.”

“This is a spiritual battle which can only be won by overwhelming prayer. The future of the world is at stake because, if America falls, there’s no longer a strong champion of freedom and a champion of the oppressed of the world. There must be an urgent call to prayer.”

Robertson told viewers, “I think He showed me about the next president, but I’m not supposed to talk about that so I’ll leave you in the dark – probably just as well – but I think I know who it’s going to be.”

But Robertson was clear. The victorious candidate would not be Obama. Who is Robertson praying to? Whoever it is, is consistently wrong.

The GOP God has endorsed many candidates, none of whom won. In fact, they were handily defeated early on.

Brother I know that Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha are the originators of the QP label, but it was also loosely tied into Americas SOF community in general because that's the way it's supposed to be.
And yes there are 2 units that are not a part of their parent Organizations that are called upon for the most challenging and operationally sensitive situations. You'll learn this pretty soon, that after you sign a NDA you cannot refer to them by name even if it is all over the media and Internet. But of course nobody follows those rules.

Especially SEALs, saw a news article about seven DEVGRU operators who received non-judicial punishment for their help in developing the new Medal of Honor game. I was saying the Green Berets take that saying to heart more than other Special Operation groups.

There's a joke, how do you know if a Navy SEAL is in the room?

Don't worry, he'll let you know.

Ya'll need to be more concerned with the "power of prayer" than anything.

GET ON IT!

Mind you, this isn't about all republicans, this is specifically for the loons which are CLEARLY running the show.

this is a big reason why i rock with barry. it seems like he genuinely cares about what he's doing and he's really trying to make a positive difference in this world.

So as a seemingly logical republican, what do you suggest your party does to move forward? Especially considering Romney's poor performance with minorities, who are all growing demographics.

No sarcasm, serious question.

NOPE!

these people like alot of christians ( not all) think that once they get saved , they are automatically better than others and cast judgement. This isnt how it should be. If they truly believe God Gave Us Free Will to Make Choices( Im assuming they must because they identify themselves as christians) who are they to try and withhold freedoms from anybody. Theyre just people who use the bible to benefit themselves

and also last time I checked Mitt Romney was a mormon, which would go against what I assume their beliefs are.

Gov. Hailey Barbour: "Hurricane Sandy saved Barack Obama's campaign and ruined his momentum"

these dudes are so delusional man like all you have to do and look at the trends of polls and see how the Pres. was trending UPWARD before Sandy even hit
laugh.gif
They really are gonna end up doubling down, they've blamed: Hurricanes, God, Minorities, and who knows what else.....GOP might end up like the Whigs in the 1850's...stuck on bull**** mountain like John Steward calls it. 400 million down the drain d'oh!
Haley Barbour sounds like Foghorn Leghorn.
And he's a racist.

I guess all atheists are the same then!???
I don't identify with other non-believers. There is nothing in common among us.

Whats in common with people who don't collect stamps?

Atheism is like the TV being off compared to channel surfing.

Keep trying though.

This should be a lesson to the christian-taliban. If you're mad then i'm talking directly to you as well.

You want to believe it? Fine. Go ahead. Leave it out of my government.

Libertarians are idiots, most of them just wanna dissolve the whole government... If they had some knowledge and maybe momentum from some GOP members they'd make noise... Getting rid of the whole government won't do too much to benefit lmao. Time for the GOP to push states rights.

Please do, and watch the election pummeling of a generation.

 at this tool in the Captain America outfit

Anyway...if you're the GOP, how do you recover from this in 2016?

The GOP's base is not growing at all. Old people are dying. White people are becoming less of the majority. Less religiously zealous individuals. Their base is shrinking on pretty much all fronts. Some of their main talking points, especially those that the Tea Party champions, aren't helping them get into the presidency. They have alienated almost all of the bases that might help them win (women, gays, minorities).

IMO, the GOP plays too hard to what the far right wants. The average Republican is not as much of a zealot as the Tea Partiers that were dictating who was getting a chance to run for office. That's how you get guys like Romney, who was much more towards the center as a Governor, having to lean waaaay right in the primaries, then lean baaaack to the center for the presidency. That's not gonna work.

They could get a lot of love with just the fiscal conservative, smaller and more efficient government platform. The focus on social issues will be the demise of the party if they continue to push it heavily. It's alienating that would otherwise be receptive to their platform.

edit: If I hear "States' Rights" one more time I swear I'm going to scream. Sick of that Post Civil War South Ol' Dixie flyin' ********. The Constitution was written to make the Federal Government sovereign. **** is nonsense.

The GOP desperately needs diversity at their televised events.

As a minority, I already feel semi-alienated out the gate when I look into the GOP crowd and see nothing but middle-age and older white faces.

I have zero issues with white people, however, and I think many minorities may agree, it's hard to see yourself associating with a group where nobody else looks like you.

Now, is it right to judge a party based on how diverse their crowd is? maybe...maybe not. But as with anything in life perception is key and if you give off a unfavorable perception, people will write you off before you can even speak.

I don't even care what they look like at this point.

Ideologically they're losing out here.
