handullz handullz Arnold initially was the typical Republican governor and that made him more and more unpopular. Eventually he became more center as the years progressed and even hired a Democrat as a chief of staff. So yeah he actually relied upon many people and didn't try to act like the smartest guy in the room.

If Arnold was born a US citizen, he probably would have won the 2016 election imo. He sounds far more likeable and has the "celebrity vibe" at the same time.

Fox is reporting that DHS Secretary Kelly said parts of Trump's border wall will be transparent. http://bit.ly/2km02lC pic.twitter.com/lq6upkknIt

So, an electric fence? Good plan aka...we won't get the funds/backing necessary to build what was promised in the campaign.

  What are you basing this on?

They arrive at that conclusion by assuming that government and businesses have the same goals and work the same way, which is false.

That's the problem. The BS we're seeing from Trump and his people is THE result of running government like a business

To play the role of a faux conservative, why not run government like a business?

I agree with you, but I feel it's good to flesh out the opinions of the other side to get a better understanding

He's a cool guy.
Let's be honest, the Republican race was more of just a popularity contest, and Trump won that because he dished out the most insults. And as evidenced by the election, many Americans in the swing states that voted for Trump was just because they "hate liberals" or thought Hillary was untrustworthy.

Government= Serve the people (At least they're supposed to)

Business= Line your own/business partners pockets

Unless the orange clown starts handing out stock options then the people won't benefit.

Trickle-down economics do not work.

Folks out here really voted on the ability to insult liberals than his obvious policies he was letting everyone know he was going to implement. Then when it comes to pass and some of the Trump supporters are negatively affected by the policies they ignored in light of rhetoric some of you want us to be empathetic? **** no. Now THAT is ultra-liberalism, go sit down somewhere with that.

Cant push it through even if/when it comes out that Trump has business ties/financial interest in Russia and has directly profited from his exercising of power?

Republicans have shown they are not going against their party. They control everything now, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Famb nah. Trump was a a special case, the GOP does not nominate moderates. Trump started out right wing and sprinted more right to appease GOP primary voters. Arnold's record in Cali would have worked against him, and his person background would make him dead in the water with many in the GOP base (Mormons, evangelicals, etc). And Arnold is not overtly bigoted, so he is not gonna be able to catch a Trump type wave.

Not only that, Trump won the election by a razor thin margin in 3 states, party because of high turnout out of rural white. Arnold is not gonna be their sws champion like Trump

I agree. Some people have gone ideology over the constitution and country. It's sad really.

Trickle-down economics do not work.

But if you're a generally hostile conservative that has

1. Remember when all you had to do was be white to succeed
2. Saw America zoom past you in terms of technology
3. Live in an echo chamber
4. Harbor resentment to the "coastal elite" aka liberal country

Then you have to blame someone. And the government is easy. Tack on a black face in Obeezy and boom, people will say "why not run it like a biz because I am in the group that will benefit"?

That's why I don't waste my time with conservatives SWS.

They put white supremacy above all else even their own livelihood and health.

I loved reading conservative comments after some big win for Liberals.

Stromfront after Obeezy's election wins was lulz

Arnold tried denying illegal immigrants driver licenses in our state throughout his whole governorship. He def could have ran on the SWS rhetoric for a bit.

And Trump has been exposed as a fake Christian too, yet Republicans still voted for him.

But I can see your point.

I never got the 'Trump should run the country like a business' ideology. The country can't file for bankruptcy or swap debt for useless shares  so not sure what tactics he would turn to
