You gain a better perspective by actually reading on the political history of this country. Read the speeches, the documents, the bills, their intents and their effects (short term and long term), that kind of stuff. 18 hours of second hand info with commentary heavily loaded with the bias of the radio/TV personalities is why people think they are informed when they are only parroting talking points they haven't analyzed themselves. Hell, the level of information outside the US is much higher in my experience, and those people don't watch/listen to more than the evening news and a couple of debates during the week.

Donald Trump has no historical counterpart.

A rich man reaches the top of the political apparatus, appoints all his donor friends, writes laws that benefit him and his friends, and thinks democratic values are optional. Do you know how often that happens in politics? Just read about the former Soviet republics and former African colonies.

And just yesterday Trump COWERED to China's pressure on the "One China Policy"

And not to mentioned the administration fails on crowd sizes, mass protest around the Nation, Bowling Green Massacre, Atlanta Islamic terror attacks, SNL, Dead US Seal on a botch raid, Betsy Devos confirmed but the entire Nation thinks shes an idiot, buy Ivanka stuff, etc..

Am I the only one enjoying this administration fail?

Hilarious... Someone with a mindset that thinks if you watch enough political television shows, that somehow, the act of sitting on a couch and watching people talk is equivalent to a college degree in Political Science, or real world experience in the public sector of policy and politics.

Listening to/watching political talkshows, ... for 18 hours a day (which sounds very unhealthy for the record) doesn't necessarily make one wiser.

If you have a fundamental lack of understanding in a number of areas such as science, scientific fact, economics, critical thinking and objectivity, you can watch as many political segments as you want. 

Does that mean I am also an expert then? 

 If we're going by the criteria of how much you follow politics.

 A far-right German politician has been sentenced to eight years in prison for burning down a sports hall that was to be used to accommodate refugees.
Maik Schneider, a local National Democratic Party (NPD) politician, was convicted of arson by a Potsdam court.

He was given an additional 18-month prison term for other offences.

The hall in Nauen, just west of Berlin, was burnt down in August 2015 as large numbers of asylum seekers arrived in Germany.

No one was injured in the blaze but the hall was completely destroyed, with the cost of the damage estimated at €3.5m (£3m).

An accomplice, who was not identified by the DPA news agency, was given a seven-year term, while four others were given suspended sentences of varying lengths.

During the trial, 29-year-old Schneider had claimed that he was trying to send a political message but had not meant to burn down the building.

He also denied that he had acted out of xenophobic motives.

Many Germans consider the NPD, which has 5,000 members, to be a neo-Nazi group.

Judge Theodor Horstkotter said Schneider and his accomplices had clearly acted on right-wing extremist beliefs.

"The attack was meant to signal to refugees: you are not welcome here, we don't have space for you, you aren't safe here," he said.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel's office describes the NPD as an "anti-democratic, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-constitutional party".

The six men prosecuted are reported to have previously committed other crimes, including setting fire to the car of a Polish citizen.

Last month Germany's Federal Constitutional Court rejected a historic attempt to ban the NPD. The case was brought by the state governments represented in the upper house of parliament, the Bundesrat.

The court ruled that the party did not have the potential to overthrow democracy in Germany.

Nobody knows for sure if he has a clearance, and he has advocated for the establishment of a christian version of ISIS in the past. But you didn't answer my question. Does extensive reading/following of political discussion automatically grant one superior knowledge and authority based on the amount of hours put in without taking into account the intellectual capacity of the person in question? You are a self-proclaimed expert because you put in a lot of hours following politics. I took my interest in politics in highschool and have a hs degree in behavioral & cultural sciences. Due to my chronic illness, I am able to follow politics day in day out. I also suggested Trump would win in early 2016.

So does that mean I am also an expert?

You may have memorized what every side is saying, you still DON'T understand the IMPLICATIONS, CONSEQUENCES of the policies each side defends. That's the issue here. It doesn't matter whether you know by heart what liberal or conservatives parrot; what matters is where the things they want to implement will take us.

That's why people say you don't get it, and why people make fun of you still being in celebration mode three weeks into a pretty terrible presidency.
