I'm really having trouble understanding my dear esteemed president here. He's upset that protestors organized???

Where's Ben Barson 2020 to make sense of all of this? Or Mike Pence 2017?

Divide n conquer :smokin

EDIT: Hopefully Calvert holds the town hall n they gove him hell

the original executive order travel ban was rushed out because trump told us there were many bad hombres trying to get in and, if they caught wind of an upcoming travel ban, they would all rush into the country before it went into effect.

the travel ban was unanimously denied by the ninth circuit a full two weeks ago, on February 9.

they were supposed to appeal it to the supreme court and win. instead a new executive order was promised this week but has now been pushed back to next week. the white house claims it'll only have minor technical differences from the original order.

which just begs the question: if they were so rushed to get the original travel ban out in the interest of national security, why is it now taking them 3 weeks to make minor revisions?

is trump knowingly putting America at risk?

That is actually really scary. If you organise a peaceful protest and someone else (who could be a plant) causes damage they can call it a riot and take your assets. That even applies to legitimate political meetings.

How much you want to bet that ALEC has it hands on this legislation. :smh:

The silver lining on this kind of crap is that maybe it will get more people in the Democratic coalition more interested in State and local politics.

This sounds unconstitutional.

The scary thing is that if there is a strong political will to do something, The Bill of Rights will not protect a person.

The Courts, the Federal appeals Courts and the Supreme Court are always able to make something unconstitutional fit. In the Dredd Scott case, they said "well, black people don't have standing, ever." In Koramatsu, the court said "welp, the military wants to imprison all Japanese people in America so, who are we to question the military." More recently, we have Federal conspiracy laws for narcotics combined with darconian mandatory minimums for narcotics offenses. There is also the Federal and state sex offender registries which impose arbitrary and retroactive punishments (how ever bad sexual crimes can be, the Constitution is very clear, no ex post facto laws). the Supreme Court says "it's a dangerous world, drug pushers and perverts are bad dudes so to hell with rule of law."

Among conservatives, protesters are almost as hated a class of persons as were blacks in 19th Century, Japanese during World War II and drug dealers and sex offenders are today. Don't be shocked if one day, Neil Gorsuch casts the deciding vote in case that affirms this law and writes in his opinions that "freedom of assembly is not absolute and Federal narcotics conspiracy laws confirm this."

We have to beat conservatives and beat them badly and beat them soon, at the ballot box. It is not just that I disagree with their policies, it is that they know they are a minority and will be even more of minority even moreso in the future. They know this, they know that enough liberals know this so they are effectuating a piecemeal coup where they craft laws to redefine who gets to participate in our politics.

PALM BEACH, Fla. — For some of the businesses and government agencies that surround President Trump’s “Winter White House,” the effects of his frequent weekend getaways to Mar-a-Lago can best be told in numbers.

■ $200,000 in lost fuel sales at a large local airport in a single four-day visit this month.

■ 75 no-shows at a new restaurant in just one night.

■ $60,000 a day to pay overtime to sheriff’s deputies who guard the many closed roads, a tab that is about $1.5 million over all since the election.

■ 250 private flights grounded every day.

Concerned constituents are raising their voices at a town hall in Tampa tonight, but Florida Sen. Marco Rubio won't be there.
The town hall, scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Tampa Letter Carriers Hall, was put together by constituents unaffiliated with any group. The constituents have extended this invitation to Rubio to discuss the concerns of Tampa residents.

However, a spokesperson with Rubio's office reached out to us saying the senator isn't attending tonight's town hall because "the organizers are deceiving people by falsely advertising this event, which is not connected to us in any way."

President Trump has cost the US travel industry around $185 million (£148 million) in lost revenue, according to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA).

The GBTA claims visits to the US have tailed off by 2.2 per cent since Trump implemented his controversial executive order, which banned citizens of seven mainly Muslim countries from visiting the US.

Although that order has since been deemed illegal by a federal judge, the slump in visits has apparently also been accompanied by a fall in demand for US-bound flights. A travel company, Hopper, which analyses billions of flight searches around the world, has said demand is 10 per cent lower than it was before Trump took office.

I love Trump's racism because it forces us to be more progressive and radical.... Ban Muslims, Deport Illegals, lock up Blacks, etc. This will force us all to be more revolutionary. Trump is needed because a lot of us are sleeping.

Grand delusions running rampant as usual

Must be some hyped releases today

No I just accidentally clicked into the thread. Seen more delusions. Had to call it out. Remember I work. Can't be on here all day long trying to combat ignorance like your post or his....
