As a person living in Texas, his assessment on Latino-Trump supporters is not wrong.

There are A LOT more than folks think.

I was talking to my homey in Philly and he was shocked that any Mexican, especially in the south, supported Trump.

But many of them have the mentality of "i made it doing it this way, why can't you" and are in supported of massive deportations.

Exit polling and voter demographic research shows at Mexican American, especially young ones, even in Texas, lean left on average.

Most Mexican American voters vote Democrat. Yes there are some of those that don't.

What about Mexicans who identify as White???

Trump actually did surprisingly well among non Mexican Latinos. He did very badly with Mexican Americans and that trend will continue. It did not flip any particular State in 2016 but the blueing of the Mexican border area has been going on for a while, it will continue and it already has had some major consequences. It has made California extremely blue, it has made Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado into reliably blue States and it will put Arizona and Texas in play in future Presidential elections.

In the near term, it is time to win two Senate Seats in Nevada and Arizona, flip the Arizona legislature and pass laws that Gerrymander California and Colorado.

Donald Trump is continuing what Pete Wilson Started back in 1994 in California, he is fundamentally altering the electorate in favor of Democrats. We just need to capitalize on it nation wide.

The 2018 Nevada Senate race is gonna be a bloodbath. The incumbent is unpopular and might bail to run for Governor.

Our moderate Republican Latino governor is term limited out, and might run for the Senate seat.

Word is Harry Reid is in the mountains of Nevada loading his yoppa, and drinking apple juice ready to put in work in 2018 on the campaign trail.

The Koch Brothers poured million into the state, but Reid, the labor unions, and Obama made sure they caught an "L" in Nevada

The mission is the Nevada to be completely blue. If the Dems catch the wave in 2018 and the Mexican community in Vegas shows out again, the GOP gonna get washed again.

You should have been around during the campaign. Every single thing that is happening right now was predicted by most of those who are still posting here: healthcare repeal, prisons, lgbt rights, police accountability, public school etc... We kept saying that the dude was a con man and that he would hurt the country more than Hillary.

The pro-Trump cats were like "emails this and benghazi that and war with Russia that" and here we are. They know why they're not posting anymore.

they just figured an overweight aging bald man with a pathological need for attention coming off a dozen failed businesses and a couple failed marriages was going to be the political Messiah that would fix DC because at least he wasn't Hillary.

we're not trying to unlock genius here. we have to approach the logic of these voters starting with the assumption that they're dumb as rocks. trump looked like a goofy outsider and they could point to his business acumen and to Hilary's emails whenever pressed for why they would vote for him. c'mon now, not like these people were pulling out calculators and crunching the numbers to see if his claims were true. they weren't cracking open a law book or even the Constitution or a history book to figure out if he'd be a disaster or not. they weren't thinking ahead and doing a risk analysis to see if they would jeopardize the well-being of their children and the planet by going after ACA and EPA. let's be real now. most people just saw a grinning idiot and figured how bad could he be.
