OFFICIAL LEBRON X+ NIKE ID THREAD

South Vices are clean! Those yellow, teal, and black look good, too. And cannot wait to see Lava Beaches, love the way they look in the screen pic!

what made you decide not to do the badging Gentry?

I have a few pair that are missing it, but its because i forgot. pulled them out of my locker and purchased without checking. :smh:

To be honest I'm not a fan of labeling iD's. Never have been. I just think it cheapens the look. No disrespect to those that like it. Just my opinion.

And I've decided to return those iD's. They'll be going back to Nike tomorrow.

Gentry,

I feel like the pearlized white upper and the black uppers are the only ones that won't leave you feeling like they are reflecting light haha. It was a nice design though, with a change of the pink laces you have a totally different shoe.

Gentry... They came out clean. I'm one of the few that feel like all these SB colorways are trying too hard. Yours doesn't give me that feeling. As far as the speckles.... You get yours done by one of the best, of course Nikes speckles aren't up to par lol.

For those hooping in these:
After 2 days of intense pick-up, these feel great from the get-go. The dynamic flywire makes these more comfortable than the 8 V1s (which is what most people likened the Xs to) because the lockdown is absolutely unbelievable. The only downside is that the forefoot doesn't really flex. For me, it's a blessing, because I've had a stress fracture on the top of my foot near the front, so no flex for the toe-box/frontal area actually helps me. But for others, that can be a detriment since cutting feels a little different especially when you're constantly doing on the top of your foot i.e. not flat-footed.
For my knees and stress fracture previously mentioned, the zoom air max bag is amazing. No break-in period required but they do feel better as you continue to hoop in them. No signs of creasing, they still pretty much look brand new. And the traction is ridiculous. I don't know if having a translucent sole helps or hurts the cause, but much better than the 9s, at least for me.
Hope this helps anyone debating about whether or not to hoop in their pair or not.
Thanks, was useful

Thanks bro. And next time I need the specks I'm not relying on Nike anymore. I'll be going straight to the man.

it was pretty tough to get a picture of the flaws in the airbag but with my camera and a few tweaks in the settings, i was able to make it happen

as you can see, the strands are string and a few are torn. when i originally saw the X in pictures i assumed they were plastic but it shows i was wrong.
so i called nike about this prior to wearing them or returning them, but long story short i will be wearing this pair while they build a new pair and return these upon new pair arrival. additionally, the rep offered a 10% discount for future use. he did not mention ID restrictions for the record

How did you contact nike to get them to remake your pair? I am having the same issue with my pair and started a chat with customer support, after sending them a picture the representative says that is the way the shoe is supposed to be, i tell him that is impossible (strands supposed to be broken??:smh:) and then he says that since it is a "custom built" shoe that they will not remake them.

To dull out the upper I was gonna use a spray matte varnish, that many customizes use on their painted shoes. Not sure if it would work on the hyperfuse material

proud to say that the USAs are the only release that i own. they still may be my fav of the 3. i have my sprites w/ added green, reverse lebron PEs and Puerto Rico AF1 inspired are on the way. i tried to keep it simple.

ghost speckle didnt show up very well and didnt add much texture.
