Don't really know what would give you a jolt....

But I drink organic Bigelow and that Tazo with the spearmint (forgot what its called). Adding honey to the Tazo is

, makes it taste exactly like Wrigley Doublemint gum.

I like rooibos. No caffeine, has a lot of health benefits.
The health benefits of rooibos tea seem to be mostly due to the flavonoids aspalathin and nothofagin, although other compounds in rooibos may also play a part. Here's a summary of the benefits:

  • Acts as an antioxidant and increases SOD levels
  • Prevents DNA damage
  • Cardiovascular protection through ACE inhibition
  • Suppresses fasting glucose levels
  • Improves glucose uptake and insulin secretion after a meal
  • Aids in liver tissue regeneration
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Acts as a bronchodilator and antispasmodic
  • Inhibits lipid peroxidation and brain aging
  • Rooibos extract improves immune defects such as HIV
Since nothofagin and especially aspalathin are not really found in any other plant, rooibos tea looks like a valuable addition to one's health regimen. Even people who are not fans of green tea usually like the taste of rooibos tea. Since rooibos contains no caffeine, it can be also enjoyed in the evening.

Im steeping some white tea right now, smells wonderful. I like true blueberry and lemon zinger from celestrial seasonings. I also like the earl grey that's from teavana.

go to your local asian market they usually got good tea

i drink tea sometimes and its mostly just green tea with a spoon of sugar

black tea aint bad or maybe it's just in my head. i feel peppy afterwards like when i have coffee. i read that people drink black tea before workouts so i guess it has some caffeine kick.

i have access to all kinds of teas at work so i'm gonna start trying some more, mostly assorted brands of tazo tea ...

another question i had was are u supposed to leave the teabag in while u drink it or let it sit a couple minutes and get rid of it. like i said i'm a rookie here, i had people tell me leave it in cause it makes it more potent, it's just a pain in the *** to drink it that way ....

put me on to some etiquette bros ...

This is why I love NT. Any good brand of rooibos? I see it on teavana's website but I'm not sure it would be as pure as I like.

They sell this brand at Fairway(which has a really good selection)
http://www.teaforte.com/ a favorite of mine is the African Solstice
Also check out http://www.teavana.com/ there might be a store by you.

Over the last year or so I got into the habit of not putting sugar in my tea or mixing in very little. I do add a little organic honey.

I just bought a tea infuser from IKEA for like $2. Bout to step up my tea game and start buying loose leaf teas.
I also been getting the tazo chai concentrate in Target. I like those iced (and sometimes with a cigar).

I like going to Teavana and other random herbal shops for my tea. Don't have a favorite but I do like the wild fruit blends.

no way

feel so full of sh*t now

well guess it felt new cause i just started drinking it again .... :rolleyes

off to read the old thread ........

"Sip peppermint tea out my polo mug."

I drink a couple cups a day. I'm really into peppermint tea especially post-meal. I've found it does a great job of settling the stomach. Seriously, if you're ever feeling kind of bloated or slightly off digestion wise try a cup or two of peppermint tea. Works wonders.

Here's what I said in one of the threads
The longer you steep the tea, the stronger it gets, but at a certain point you should take it out since it's only going to make the tea too strong and ruin the flavor.

Depending on the type and strength, I usually steep black tea for about 4 minutes and it's plenty strong. Green tea's you can usually steep for less time, but don't leave it in the whole time.

I got into tea this past year and I love it, I'm still a huge coffee fan but tea is a nice alternative. That Bigelow green tea with mango is really good as a matter of fact, find a variety pack and see what you like... should only be a few bucks at the store.

Eventually I got tired of tea in bags and I switched over to loose tea. Really enjoy it and the amount of variety you can find in tea shops is awesome. My favorites are English breakfast, passionfruit green tea, Earl Grey, mandarin green, etc.

This is what I currently use and it's great..
If you leave it in the cup the whole time, it'll continue to steep and the tea will get too bitter.

Black tea will have the most caffeine, but still less than coffee. Green tea will have some too, but not a lot.

Loose leaf tea is a lot better than the pre-packaged tea bags. Think of it as Folgers ground vs a whole bean specialty brand. It's not AWFUL and plenty drink it, but if you want the better taste, it's worth it to get loose leaf. I bought this from a local tea store.. http://www.adagio.com/  you can find it on Amazon as well. It's really simple, throw the tea in, add water, let it steep, then drop it on your cup to pour.

My advice, find a tea shop in your area and basically tell them "I'm new to tea" and they should be able to give you samples sizes of the most popular teas. English Breakfast, Earl Grey, tons of green tea varieties, red teas, etc.

Semi-related, but I was hooked on this candy cane tea I bought over the holidays.

Ginger tea is awesome when you have a sore throat and/or a cold.

inb4 someone says you need to go cultivate your own bush and dry tea leaves yourself.

I used to mess with bigelow right now i'm on the trader joes green tea (morning) and trader joes well rested (bedtime, peppermint tea)

I can't drink coffee or something that's super caffeinated.

I still drink guayaki yerba mate in the yellow package but there are reports/studies done that it contains hydrocarbons that increase your cancer risk....possibly due to the temperture that the tea steeps at...i'm still looking into it but it really makes me feel good especially if I drink it in the morning.

My uncles are on Tulsi Tea....supposed to be the best outta the bunch.

I'm so stocked on tea right now I can't go to the greenstar and check out/buy any of their tea's.

I've heard from "tea enthusiasts" that Teavana is not worth the price and that you can get what you get at Teavana for less at other craft stores.
