Can we get a R&B/Soul/Neo-Soul thread?

Alice Smith & Dave Sitek - Shell Shock (produced by Sam Dew)

Beautiful use of Fela Kuti.

"You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive."

- James Baldwin

Haven't posted in here in a while, but here's a joint that's not really R&B or Neo-Soul. More AOR than anything, but I'm certain you all can appreciate and enjoy it

So yeah,  Rick James was in a Motown band with Neil Young, 2 other dudes from Buffalo Springfield and 2 dudes from Steppenwolf in the 60s

Yeah, to music heads that's a known fact.

Listen to how Rick James sounded like an early Mick Jagger.
