Can we get a R&B/Soul/Neo-Soul thread?

Def buying that album next week. And maybe Sara Bareilles' new album....I know she doesn't belong in here but I've been a fan since day one

Trombone Shorty - On Your Way Down (Live on KEXP)

Caught this dude a couple of years ago when he was touring with Robert Randolph... This isn't exactly r&b, but being as though this cat is from 'Nawlins, it's fitting to describe his sound as musical gumbo - a mix of r&b, funk, NO jazz, etc...

Robert Randolph & The Family Band - I Need More Love

Speaking of which, had to post this. When I saw this dude open for Soulive (locally at Recher Theatre which is sadly no more) years ago my jaw was on the floor... This dude was having church up in that piece...

Jesse Boykins - Sparks (Coldplay cover)

I really like his cover... Wish it had the bass line though...

Robin Thicke - I Love It (Icona Pop's Cover)

He made a forgetable one hit wonder of a song soulful...

The Isley Brothers - Fight The Power

It's a got damn shame they had to sell the rights to all their songs to settle tax bills. One of the few artists that owned their own catalog... Ernie Isley is a great guitar player too.. Go back & look at their entire catalog & see how many great songs the Isley Brothers have written. It's astounding...

That Elli Ingram is dope. I'll be checking for her EP.

Just now hearing of Wynter Gordon, but this song is awesome.

:pimp: :pimp:

I must have been living under a rock, I don't recall ever hearing anything about them being in trouble? Was it both Ronald and Ernie in trouble for taxes?
