I'm just brainstorming here about full co-op in a GTA game. Say you could play the whole story mode 2 player. You got 2 main characters. Let's say the game focuses on heists. Each player would have missions to complete in order to prepare for the heists. Once those missions are complete you do the heists co-op. If you want to play by yourself you can do the missions by yourself and just have AI take over for the heists.

Would that be pretty awesome or no?
All the GTAs(III-IV) have always centered around one character...one.

Also I don't see how co-op would be beneficial to GTA.

Like, they can do missions with you and that's it?

If it's just that, then I don't see the point in including it at all.

All i care about in terms of multiplayer is free roam. if they add free roam (and co op missions too i guess) like they had in GTA 4, then i will be a happy man. My friends and I had more fun in free roam trying to kill each other than playing the story by ourselves.

Well yeah, that's what co-op is. Playing cooperatively. Together. I think my idea would be better than just doing every mission together. Plus it would add to the replayability factor, having two sets of missions to play through. My idea includes both SP and co-op elements.

And just because every other gta has been SP doesn't mean they can't ever change it up.

I mean, there's got to be some reason this game is taking sooo ******g long to release. Is it just because the world is THAT massive, or are they trying some new things?

A little off topic but still GTA related.

Monday is the 10th Anniversary for GTA: Vice City.Which is my favorite GTA game of all time.

1000

Building on the success of the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto III in 2001, the release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on October 29, 2002 pushed the open world game series deeper into popular culture with a vibrant over-the-top take on Miami, a stunning celebrity voice cast and a loving, satirical look at the cultural excesses of the ‘80s.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary, there will be a series of commemorative assets released, including never-before-seen artwork and a brand new anniversary trailer highlighting some of the most iconic scenes and music from the game. In addition, a limited run of collectable promotional items will be made available for purchase through the Rockstar Warehouse, with select items also available via online giveaways.

In conjunction with the anniversary, we're pleased to announce that we'll be releasing an Anniversary Edition of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for select iOS and Android devices later this fall. This upcoming version will bring the full experience to mobile devices, featuring native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms. Stay tuned for more details in the weeks ahead including a list of compatible iOS and Android devices.

coop for this game wouldn't be such a good idea...
out of ALLLLLL the games to have coop... this should be left 1 player SP
and 32 players MP

I see you're getting at, but I don't see how it would benefit the game. After I complete the missions, I just kill people and get my wanted level up to 6. One of the best elements about the game is that it's open world. Since that's a given, I don't think R* is too worried about GTA V's replayability factor.

Most of R*'s games are centered around one character so I don't see why they create a 2nd main character for co-op.

This is me talking outta my ***, but maybe what I'm about to type has some truth to it.

Wouldn't it be because R* was working on other games?

For instance, R* said that they'd work on Bully 2 but they wanted to release Max Payne 3 first before Bully 2.

the spring date could be anywhere from march to may, for the most part im pretty sure the basis of the game is complete and they're just going to spend the rest of the time cleaning up the bugs and having the devs play online to make sure there isnt any glitches,id rather them take their time with it than to put something out that is constantly crashing ie max payne 3...everytime i play online my ish freezes or somethin..great game but lots of bugs..i heard that you will be able to barricade yourself and also theres dogs!! they also included where i live!! the part where the windmills are thats here in palm springs..

all i know is that this will be the game of the year i dont even care whats coming out next year i KNOW it isnt topping gta, everything rockstar does is a game changer, now if we can only get manhunt made for the ps3.

The article info will leak before the mag hits shelves.

We already know this since digital Gameinformer subscribers will have access to it on 11-8 and the print version won't be out in stores or get to subscribers until 11-16.
