i wouldn't put it past R* to make all next gen buyers start over from zero when y'all switch over. the advert on current gen says if you pre-order you get a cool milli to start off with. i can't see why that would even be enticing to current gen players switching to next gen seeing as though everyone should be well into their 3+ millions made and spent since the game dropped.

Pretty sure gta online is tied to your gamertag and not social club. It's should pick back up on your character as long as your using your existing gamertag from last gen.

Nah it's tied to social club. Gamertags don't have to match since some people (myself included) will be going from 360 to PS4. You get the option of which console you want to transfer to

Do I need to join the social club for my single player exclusives to transfer over to the PS4?

I don't really play multiplayer at all but I bought the collector's edition so I want all those cars and weapons to transfer over to the PS4 single player mode.
